zeki Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 (edited) Chalk or crayon or charcoal stick.... *y* Now I want you to chalk up an essay about the history and origin of chalk, not less than thousand words.... >:-) :-P Yes mr. teacher, just let me find an article in wikipedia :D Edited October 18, 2007 by zeki Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted October 18, 2007 Author Posted October 18, 2007 Teacher Impulse set:Small Blackboard and charkol (<- can someone write this down in the right way) and a book Minifig: Grey hair, glasses and beard, and a smart dress The children for school go with Klaus Dieter's little boy and girl. That's a very nice idea, zeki! In addition to your Teacher Impulse set there would be even a - seperate - schoolboy possible: Schoolboy including a rucksack, one school book, a chair and a little form minifig: schoolboy And here another idea for an Impulse set which would beautify your Lego City: Park Gardener including a fountain, a waterskin, a barrow, a shovel and two flowers minifig: park gardener And for the sporting part of your Lego City: Skateboarder including a skateboard and a little quarter pipe minifig: skateboarder kid Footballer including a football and a goal minifig: footballer kid In my opinion it would be absolutely necessary to include women and kids into the Lego City theme. I mean: Until 1996 there were at all times woman minifigs in many Lego sets - even Castle did include them! Always only men minifigs makes the City theme boring and unrealistic. Without woman minifigs the whole Lego City would one day die out and without child minifigs there is "no life in the Lego City". I hope that TLC understands this and will soon include women and kids into the Lego City theme! Quote
iamded Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 (edited) Teacher Impulse set:Small Blackboard and charkol (<- can someone write this down in the right way) and a book Minifig: Grey hair, glasses and beard, and a smart dress Wait... beard + dress? Is this teacher a cross-dresser? X-O :-P Anyway, this is a good idea (schools, not crossdressing). How about (excuse me if these have already been said) some medium sized sets, that can join together. EDIT: OMG! Klaus-Dieter beat me to it! Oh well, I'll post mine anyway. Science Class A classroom with work benches, 4 students (2 male, 2 female) in lab coats, a science teacher (male). Includes a whiteboard, some science equipment (a new mold for beakers, lots of pipes and tubing, bunsen burners etc.) English/Maths Class Includes a classroom with desks and chairs, a blackboard (no, 2 blackboards, which can be interchanged, one with words etc, the other with math equations), a larger desk for the teacher (female) (with an apple ;-)), a ruler, a bin and 4 students (2 male, 2 female). Art Class A classroom with a large table, some easels, cans of paint, a bin, paintbrushes (can use the new torch piece from the Indiana Jones set, and put a horn it it for the brush part) and other art supplies. Includes art teacher (female) and 3 students (1 female, 2 male) Field Includes a large rectangular dark green baseplate with benches, bins, some trees and 2 rugby posts/soccer(football) posts, American football posts. Includes 2 teams consisting of 4 people each, adn a coach. Each team has different uniform. Gym A room with gym equipment, a rowing machine, 2 treadmills, and some weights and benches, and a shelf with a radio. Includes 3 students. Principal's Office An office with a big fancy chair, a desk with drawers, a computer, shelves, a lamp, and a bin. Includes the Principal minifig and a bully minifig. And a smaller set, that can clip the sets together. Hallway A small section of hallway, with lockers on either side, bins, and a sticker sheet with various poster and notices to make each set unique. Includes 1 male student, 2 female student, and a male hall moniter. Other small sets could include: Janitor's Closet A small closet with a broom, a silver bucket, a mop, and a shovel. Includes janitor minifig. Students Includes 8 students, 4 male, 4 female. 1 in science coat, 1 in art gear, 2 in different football uniforms, 1 bully, and 3 normal students. Klaus-Dieter Posted November 3, 2007 Author Posted November 3, 2007 I've got a new idea in addition to the Airport subtheme: Freight Helicopter a freight helicopter as big as http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6342-1?showpic=1212 with a little freight hold and a hook on the underside to add a big rope with cargo stuff including a big rope, a net (to envelop the cargo stuff hanging down from underside of the helicopter), a lot of cargo stuff, some tools and a radio set minifigs: pilot and worker What do you think? - Some other ideas? Klaus-Dieter Posted November 23, 2007 Author Posted November 23, 2007 I've got some new ideas: For the Post subtheme: Big Post Truck a big yellow post truck (Maximum 6 stuck wide and with doors!) similar to http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/1552-1?showpic=2115 including some letters and packets minifig: post truck driver For the Cargo subtheme I wish for a new Cargo Center similar to http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/6391-1?showpic=2459. For the Train Theme: Two Tracks Level Crossing a two tracks level crossing (means a level crossing where there could go two trains at the same time through this level crossing) with road plate(s), gates with traffic lights and two or three trees (including a little green car (With doors!), a suitcase, a radio set and some tools minifigs: railroad worker and female citizen Signal Tower (S@H Exclusive) a signal tower under which two trains can go, appliance: two writing tables each with telephones, computers and seat and a big screen on one side of the room where no windows are (the other two sides should be ull of windows in order to be able to observe the train traffic) including a suitcase and two electrical light signals minifigs: two signal tower clerks Railroad Worker (Impulse set) including an electrical light signal, a little tree and some tools minifig: railroad worker (Other new ideas for the train subtheme were already mentioned a lot of pages ago.) What do you think about this? Quote
Derek Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 How bout a new retail theme? First set, $5-6- Soccer mom- Dark blue minivan (and DARK BLUE DOORS!) and a Very stressed mother with groceries and small child. Perhaps they could use the castle princess head to give her the stressed look :-D Convinence Store $15-20- Small building on a 16x16 baseplate. Has a checkout counter with pizzas, soft drink fountain w/ cups and frozen dairy goods. 2 shelves with goods. Includes female cashier and male customer. Grocery Store $25-30- Building on a 16x32 baseplate. Many little features include checkout line, butcher/deli with sandwichs (Krabby Patties) and chicken legs, 2 or three sheves with boxes and such and produce section. Mall $80-90- HUGE building with several baseplates. 4 stores- Clothing, toy, sporting goods and Lego ( :-D ) Includes food court with several food stands and tables w/ chairs and garbage cans. Extras- Few benches, kiosk, some plants, and fountain complete with coins. Minifigs- 4 store personel, each with unique store specific uniforms, 1 food court "chef", and Three customers- 1 male, 1 female, and 1 boy to whine at the Lego store because he can't get the UCS Mellenium Falcon. Oh, I forgot the Stores would be modular, They can be put side to side or stacked. Mall add-on set,$3-5 Escalator- Black stairs (or sum new creative mecanism) and Woman with shopping bags. USed if you chose to stack your store modules. Also, there can be 3 more store modules that can be bought for, say $20, each with a few minifigs. Whew! Hope you like those ideas! I know half of you probably dont want to rread all that, so thank you if you did! ;-) Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted November 25, 2007 Author Posted November 25, 2007 That are great ideas, darthperson8! I would like to see TLC releasing every of theese nice ideas! A mall would be great - or at least some shops and little restaurants. Come on TLC, what's so difficult that there aren't released shops and restaurants?! Quote
joseph-lowell Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I think a big rotating, dome style telescope would be neat. with a few scientist, mabey a U.F.O. and an alien. Quote
maiq the liar Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Maybe some big LUG-Style landscaping hills and mountains...I.E These Quote
Derek Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 ...mabey a U.F.O. and an alien. As long as its not a crappy MM alien. |-/ Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 Maybe some big LUG-Style landscaping hills and mountains...I.E These Yes, some hills, more (bigger brick-built) trees and some other stuff you can use for a landscape would be nice. I think a big rotating, dome style telescope would be neat.with a few scientist, mabey a U.F.O. and an alien. That would be a great idea, joseph-lowell! I would prefer the telescope coming without ufos and aliens but otherwise it would be a very nice addition to a nice Lego City. But regrettable I fear that a set like this will never be released because too little people would be interested in it - it's a pity. Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted December 13, 2007 Author Posted December 13, 2007 (edited) I thought about a set which could combine the post and the cargo subtheme: Post Loading Station a crane, a post container truck (Maximum six stuck wide and with doors!) and two yellow containers (With doors!) with post labels including some post cargo stuff, some packets, some letters, a handy and some tools minifigs: crane driver and post container truck driver What do you think? Edited December 13, 2007 by Klaus-Dieter Quote
Ricecracker Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 great idea Klaus-Dieter! i have another idea to further combine themes, maybe you would have a raised platform in the center where the post truck would come through and have the crane overhead and then on one side you would have the road and have the transport truck and on the other side you would have some train track and a transport train car (in the green colour scheme of the current cargo theme) let me know what you think Quote
Klaus-Dieter Posted December 13, 2007 Author Posted December 13, 2007 Do you mean something similar to http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/4555-1?showpic=6840 ? That would be great! Quote
Ricecracker Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 Do you mean something similar to http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/4555-1?showpic=6840 ?That would be great! for the most part that is what i mean although im thinking of having the road on the far right side(for example), the post ramp with overhead crane in the center(there could also be an office at the end), and the train tracks at the far left(again it could be switched with the road if desired) the three sections could maybe also be modular? just my two cents! Klaus-Dieter Posted December 19, 2007 Author Posted December 19, 2007 (edited) Hello, is there anybody?! It can't be that nobody wants to write down his/her own wishes or to comment on some of my and other peoples' ideas! In order to reanimate this topic - an impulse for new set ideas: There were only very few sets based on the TV subtheme in Lego's past (if you don't count the Steven Spielberg sets) although the TV subtheme includes a very big potential and was and is a great theme. So what about a new TV subtheme?! For example: TV Outside Broadcast Van an outside broadcast van (in the style of next year's mobile police unity) with a driver's cab and two rooms (one for the sound engineer and his assistant and one for the director and his assistant; both including a big writing table with computers, mixers and screens and two chairs), on top of the van there is some place to store TV cameras and boxes with other stuff including a TV camera, three boxes with different stuff that is needed, a microphone with hinge (I don't know the real name), two cups and a grey suitcase minifigs: director, director's assistant, sound engineer and sound engineer's assistant What do you think? Other proposals are welcome! Edited December 19, 2007 by Klaus-Dieter Quote
Optikal Illushun Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 What id like to see if a heavy truck shop, like we seen in the early 90s. also a regular car garage. some more contrusction equipment like a road paver, grader, etc... also like to see some more regular tractor trailors and civilian cars. perhaps a set with 3-4 civiy vehicles, road plate and down town shops.
