Just found that pan0.net can share panorama quick and easy.

Here is my first attemp to make a virtual tour, so I make it quick and simple.

There are many softwares can make full functions VT. Just found FSPViewer is free and simple, so I try it. Please tell us if you found better one.

http://www.fsoft.it/...a/FSPViewer.htm

First made three ldd2povray panorama renderings, then make three small .text file for three hotspots.

Put these six file in same folder, then use FSPViewer to open one of the *.fsv and click the red hotspot icon to start virtual tour.

Background music is live piano performance by my child. :laugh:

Nice! But isn't this basically mapping the picture to a sphere and then rotating it? In that case you could just as well use a 3d program like Blender is you're in a DIY mood.

What would be really nice is actually walking through your build. You could export a model to say... Blender maybe? And animate the camera there for a real tour. Or you could do something like Google maps, where multiple of those panoramas are blended together...

All nine pbat's interactive 360° panorama (VR virtual tours),

The pan0.net interactive panoramas require flash player. So to view on ipad you need browser like Puffin or so.

Thanks, pbat.

Here I made some more interactive 360° panorama rinderings of cool entries. Some bricks removed for minimum the render time.

Since I think you'll be able to kill two birds with one stone, I'll ask related questions here. First off, do you need an exceptional graphics card to do all of this, about how long does it take for each pan, considering the model is already constructed?

Thanks for your questions. I am not sure does povray renderer support GPU accelerated ray tracing or not, and don't know how to enable it. So I always switch to basic intel HD 4000 graphics while render. Most of my renderings include the 4000x2000 pixels spherical panorama renderings took less than 10 minutes with i7 CPU laptop. Just try to get rid of four factors that will take long render time. 1) Large or overlaping transparent parts. 2) HQ radiosity. 3) Bevels. 4) Focal blur.

@Bricksandparts, You are welcome!

Stereo 3D, Elog s LXF Lego LD75059 sandcrawler, Lego stereo 3D. Center for left eye, Left/Right for right eye. So please use center+right for parallel eye viewing, or use center+left for cross eye viewing.LDD2povray rendering. Please search google if you don't know how to parallel/cross your eyes. :-) It will not show up realistic/correct 3D image if you use wrong eyed method.(ie: Use cross eyed on parallel pair.) For best result, please download full size pic from flickr, Original pixels. Zoom out/sit back for smaller pics for parallel eye (more comfortable but smaller view). Use full screen for cross eye (not so comfortable but get bigger view). This kind of 3D pictures look best on screen with high resolution & high DPI. ie: ipad mini 2 with retina display @ native resolution.
