Yeah seems TLG is replacing the multiple manuals with one big (and fat) one.

Yes, I never liked the multiple books idea. One book per model is just much more organized. Glad they're going back.

I really like new, thick manuals. Too bad I got old type with my plane, but at least I'm satisfied with the fact that all upcoming flagship will most likely have thicker ones.

I have just finished mine. It took 2 hours to build it.

I like the single thick manual, but sometimes putting a lego set together is a family affair at home ... I let my wife/son do the step-by-step in the first manual, and I jump ahead and do subsets in subsequent manuals. With the single book, that won't be possible, but there is always the iPad and downloadable PDFs from TLG.

Sorry, no offense at all but i can Not believe this 2 hours. Maybe if you have carefully presorted ALL parts, then MAYBE. But unsorted fresh from the bags, i highly doubt that it is possible to build this model in just 2 hours...

Last, I wouldn't have fun if I build a model in such short time. Although I've enough technic experience, some models I sit there some evenings there. Even weeks, if I build big models while creating instructions. Building is -IMHO - a sort of relaxing after a work day.

I too got this piece and it was my first lego technic set (I just started last December) I was amazed by how intricate the details of the wheels and landing gear. Didn't regret a bit buying this set I think I took about 6hrs

Sorry for the misunderstanding the 2 hours was only the pure building time. I sorted out everything before building and I really don't like the stickers, so they was placed by my wife. So with all the things it was much more. I really don't want to confuse anybody.

When did building become a race? I really don't understand why kisper got sick after 6 hours of building. Did he eat something bad? It should never be about who is faster, but who is enjoying himself more. Hell, in most cases I find myself building new sets to fast and regreting it, because I don't take more time to "inhale" all the details and techniques used in those sets.

No I didn't get sick. I didn't eat anything bad. I juz took my own sweet time coz it's the building process that's fun.
