June 7, 200717 yr So um Can the cement truck fit threw the wash? Even though its a car wash..... Those trucks can get pretty dirty :-D Piranha Don't think any of them can.. so those poor drivers will just have to wash them themselves. ;-)
June 8, 200717 yr So um Can the cement truck fit threw the wash? Even though its a car wash..... Those trucks can get pretty dirty :-D Piranha Just for info, the driver of a cement truck has to clean it when he goes out of the building site, which have a water point for that. It's because you can't wait to clean it with the concrete...
June 9, 200717 yr Just for info, the driver of a cement truck has to clean it when he goes out of the building site, which have a water point for that. It's because you can't wait to clean it with the concrete... Who da think'd that Lego minis take so much care of their cement trucks :-P Well okay how about the recycle/dump truck? June 21, 200717 yr Those prices are probably wrong (ie: too low) already! :-D Please remember the mideast oil crisis does not exist in Lego city. And becuase the world is made of plastic over there, minifigs find it fairly easy to get a hold of oil which in turn becomes gas. Plus with all those dead <insert that tiresome argument> Dino themed lines, fossil fuels are a very expandable resource. :-) Is this out in the US?
June 21, 200717 yr Author Xwingyoda, are you buying all these sets just for reviews on EB? ROFL !! You really crack me up X-D To answer your question: not at all :-D I am a collector and if I buy a set I want that is not reviewed on EB I'll just do a review for you guys ;-) *yoda*
June 21, 200717 yr In the latest Lego magazine I got, there was a debate at the petrol station, they all thought they had the most important job, the rubbish man, the cement worker and the petrol guy. Then, in the end the place got covered in cement. Yoda, can you post some sortta funny pic like this?
July 2, 200717 yr *bump* My brother just got this set, and it's sweet! *wub* It's so much better up close than in the pictures, and with some modding it's perfect! *sweet* (Yea, only my little brothers got LEGO, I got a freaking ice cream.. Problems with being a TFOL..)
July 4, 200717 yr That looks like a great set - I already have a petrol station in Tabletown, but I'd love to get it just for those vehicles. Dr. S.
July 4, 200717 yr OOH! OOH! does the shop have those little microwaveable cups of tomato soup? refrigerated (so it's cold) tomato-soup w/goldfish ON!
July 19, 200717 yr Does anyone of have pictures of the gas station with road plates around it? It's a slightly odd shape and it the car wash sticking out makes it difficult to integrate into a dense town. Cheers! 30 litres of unleaded, a Ginster's Pasty and a can of Panda Pop On! Bob
August 31, 200717 yr I got the set a couple of weeks ago. I don't understand why the shop merchandise is outside. But, other than that, it's an awesome set!
August 31, 200717 yr I got the set a couple of weeks ago. I don't understand why the shop merchandise is outside. But, other than that, it's an awesome set! It's common practice here in Europe that some merchandise is stored outside during open hours. So I'm guessing that this is a european gas station then; take the merchandise away and you got an american one, heh.
September 2, 200717 yr Darn you *yoda* you're making me go into another theme!! Must...resist... Beautiful reveiw (like always), *yoda* !!
November 14, 200717 yr its a nice kit, the only thing i have done so far is to widen the outer lane so that the heavy hauler can get gas and for the next build it will fill the tanks for the station.
November 14, 200717 yr its a nice set the new motorcycle is nice as a new bike for lego the cars that TLG is putting out now are becoming more realistic and less legoistic which is better? the pumps are good build along with the carwash wish the store had more to it though i just loved all the see through roof plates and ahh, to have gas that low again :-) ;-)
November 14, 200717 yr This set is pretty nice. I like it a lot especially the black bike. The car looks simple but i still like it since the real thing is the gas station. Sadly i'm broke now since i'm focusing on LEGO Star Wars & Castle theme :'-( Edited November 14, 200717 yr by baby
November 14, 200717 yr Ahh... Finally a use for all those italien/octan barrels I got while collecting my harbor theme! Great review *yoda* ! Keep em coming. :-D
October 7, 200915 yr I built the original model and then bought a second and combined the two sets. I have one center store and continue the glass roof to the other side. I want to convert the station to the BP or Shell brand. I think I will have an easier time making it Shell.
October 7, 200915 yr Wow! This set looks great! Thanks for the geat close-up pics. This set really has a lot of cool details that one doesn't really notice from a distance. Thanks for the great review!
October 28, 200915 yr There are pros and cons with every set. The pro for this one is it playablity and looks, its con, well two things. One is no merchandise inside the shop and second if you push a car too hard thru the car wash you break off the taps holding the rubber band for the rollers in place. So taking note of pros and cons, my redesign is almost complete. Totally different driveway pump arrangment, a drink vending machine, an ice block/ice cream freezer plus air and water. Although the car wash had make way for changes. As soon as`I have completed all the changes, I'll get a digital camera, then photograph and post them.

I am in love. The detail on the price board, the whole car wash setup. I am seriosuly thinking about looking up this set on bricklink and seeing if it's a reasonable purchase. on the pcitures, crystal clear.
October 29, 200915 yr It is still available for Australian buyers by Lego S@H, also selected online retailiers down under. Its still the same price $ 59.99 au
