MstrOfPppts Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Excluding the minifig, this set has parts in 10 different colors: Black, Light bluish gray, Blue, Bright Green, Lime, Dark Pink, Pearl light gray, Trans-Dark Blue, Red and Yellow Quote
Skalldyr Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 You definitely need not more than 10 seconds to "build" this set! Quote
MstrOfPppts Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 The set has exactly 10 pieces, not counting the Duplo figure. I think that a more correct answer might be that the set has 10 distinct pieces since according to bricklink this set has 11 pieces in total. Quote
Rolli Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 (edited) I get the slight feeling that someone in Slovenia is not getting any sleep the next 8 days.. I was still sleeping at 4:39 in the morning - just as normal people tend to do! Anyway.. Lovely points as usual! *Off to packing my bags to fly home tonight* I think that a more correct answer might be that the set has 10 distinct pieces since according to bricklink this set has 11 pieces in total. Not if you use brickset as your source (or the Lego S@H website for that matter) Edited April 29, 2014 by Rolli Quote
Redhead1982 Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 I get the slight feeling that someone in Slovenia is not getting any sleep the next 8 days;) Actually, I was up early accidentally, really. I was sure to miss the today's set, but then Holodoc was up even earlier. Quote
Holodoc Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 The Duplo figure in this set was the 10th female "Medic" Duplo fig after these: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. Holy gosh! You are right! Today's points: MstrOfPpts 4 points - Even if Brickset and S@H tells it has got 10 pieces, it does have 11. But there are indeed 10 distinct bricks in this set. Rick 2 points (and my personal admiration (see above)) 9,99 isn't 10! It is also the 10th Duplo Figure to have green legs. Nope, it doesn't even have green legs! And in the line of the Duplo figures with bright green legs it was the 8th. Grand total: 6 Redhead 5 Rolli 5 MstrOfPppts 2 Rick 1 mechamike 1 Scubacarrot 1 LasseD Quote
Scubacarrot Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Nope, it doesn't even have green legs! Ah, my eyes must be failing me, then. Quote
MstrOfPppts Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 Accuracy my friends! I do understand though, that waiting the whole night for the new set to pop up might be extremely exhausting. Ah, my eyes must be failing me, then. It is bright green, the other green is lime. What kind of an AFOL are you anyway? I always explain colors from LEGO charts to anyone. Only after the wierd looks I understand that they have no idea what I'm talking about ... Quote
Holodoc Posted April 29, 2014 Author Posted April 29, 2014 Accuracy my friends! I do understand though, that waiting the whole night for the new set to pop up might be extremely exhausting. Just to get you some sleep tonight (the event days will be axhausting enough ) I promise to update the next pic tomorrow after 8 a.m. CET. Quote
Holodoc Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 I give you 10 seconds to solve this: ... and no worry - it will become harder. Quote
Rick Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 This set has 10 (mini)figures and 10 of these: Quote
Quarryman Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 The set contains 10 Dark Bluish Gray Slope, Inverted 33 3 x 2, and 10 Light Bluish Gray Brick, Modified Facet 3 x 3. Quote
Rick Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 It's also the largest of 10 sets of the Fantasy Era subtheme featuring trolls. Quote
Quarryman Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 It's also the largest of 10 sets of the Fantasy Era subtheme featuring trolls. Crap, didn't think to look for that connection. I did however find out that Fantasy Era isn't the 10th subtheme of Castle, and that this is not the 10th Castle set having "fortress" in the name. The set also contains 10 types of minifig weapons and shields. Quote
Redhead1982 Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 The box of the set has a side of 10 cm (the height of the box) according to BL. Quote
Rolli Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 It also features two minifigs that are made up from 10 parts (the two big Trolls). Quote
Skalldyr Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 It was the 10th set (with a release date in May 2009) containing the Skull-piece (Skull 1 X 3 1/2 X 3 W. Snap). And it has 10 pieces that are unique to this set (not counting the pieces of the unique minifigs). Quote
CopMike Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 The prototype looks 10 times worse than the realead set : Quote
Holodoc Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 Points: Rick - 5 Quarryman - 1 sorry, no points for weapons AND shields. Redhead -1 Rolli - 1 MstrOfPppts - 1 Copmike - your taste. Sorry, not point-worthy (Although I agree with you) It was the 10th set (with a release date in May 2009) containing the Skull-piece (Skull 1 X 3 1/2 X 3 W. Snap). I don't get what you are writing about. This piece: ? (would be wrong anyway) And it has 10 pieces that are unique to this set (not counting the pieces of the unique minifigs). If you don't count the unique minifigs (and I count 7 that are), I see only 3 unique parts. Total: 7 Redhead 7 Rick 6 Rolli 6 MstrOfPppts 1 mechamike 1 Scubacarrot 1 LasseD 1 Quarryman Quote
Holodoc Posted April 30, 2014 Author Posted April 30, 2014 Now for the early birds - or the night owls (depending how you look at it): Quote
L@go Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 (edited) Now you're talking! This is my time of the day, so I'll join in the fun. This set was released in 2010. And according to Brickset, its original £/€29,99 retail price gave it a price per piece of 10,788 p/c. It contains exactly 10 of the 2x2 blue plates, and 10 curved slopes (8 of the 4x1 variety and two 6x4s), all yellow. The cab of the truck, from the front end of the windscreen to the back wall, is 10 studs long. And if you count the set itself, it actually contains 10 LEGO sets... although, admittedly, that one is a bit far fetched. Edited April 30, 2014 by L@go Quote
Rolli Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 *sigh* Too late, again. No points for me today ( ) as I'll be busy raiding the German Legoland for you guys! By the way... Is it a coincidence that the surface of Mr. Miniland Holodoc's shield is made from exactly 10 tiles? Quote
L@go Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 And in the spirit of sportsmanship, I'll stop editing my post now that there's another reply after it. Thanks a lot for stopping by LEGOLAND for us, Rolli! Quote
