Anne Mette Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 The French Embassy in Denmark has invited the Danish LUG Byggepladen to a MOC competition and exhibition: "Build France - as you see it". For the competition I have built this MOC. For me France is: "Tour de France, The Eiffel Tower, Napoleon and the motto from the French Revolution: "Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité" (Freedom, equality, brotherhood). Quote
MassEditor Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 So clever and so much of what makes France great summed up in one MOC! I love the tower and the addition of Corsica. Very nice work! Quote
TheLegoDr Posted April 25, 2014 Posted April 25, 2014 Very well done! I've always wanted to visit there. I like the flag within the shape of the country. Very creative. Quote
CopMike Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Very well built Anne Mette! You have really come up with a good idea and then beatifully built it with a simple color palette but quite a lot of different techniques ! I love the mini Eiffel Tower also, and I´m sure Napoleon would die for a ride on a green bike ! Quote
-GZ- Posted April 26, 2014 Posted April 26, 2014 Nice thing made with respect and love for the country. The 'stereorypes' look beautiful and nice, and the whole MOC has its own style. The best variant for an Embassy competition! Quote
3BrickFriends Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Love it. Excellent little details on an impressive board. Quote
jluck Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 That is terribly entertaining! Well done, you really were creative with the tower as well. Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Really nice ! But there is more in France than that pile of steel and those cyclists Quote

Legogal Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 This is a precious build! A lovely rendition of France as a base with the famous tower and bikes. And Mr. Puffy Chest Napoleon on Corsica! So imaginative and respectful. You have our vote! Quote
Ardelon Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Really well done! I especially like how youve managed to get the shape of France so accurately. Quote
emilstorm Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Very beautiful build! And an amazing Eiffel tower! I think it is the first time I have seen a whole country built in Lego I think you found some fine things people connect with France, at least for me Godt arbejde! Quote
Redhead1982 Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Fantastic work! It looks very simple, but I'm sure there was a lot of planning to get the right shape of France with bricks. The Eiffel tower looks amazing, I like it's scale and general shape. I wonder how stable it is with those connections? Congratulations on this creative MOC! Quote
Legogal Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Agreed. This would be a fine subject for a competition...build a country selected from a random list and not one you have lived in. OMG! Makes my brain cloud up just thinking about it! Extremely find build! Quote
Hoexbroe Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 Very nice, good job! Although I understand that this is a personal interpretation, I miss some more "french gimmicks": Like food, cars, painters, fashion, etc... Quote
