xwingyoda Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Dear Eurobricks community, GT4 finally arrived yeasterday (in France) and I got it today :-D I will do a little test drive for you race fans and tell you my first impressions (I know them, its going to be fantastic ;) ). I just can't wait to take that huge turn place de l'Etoile with a Renault 5 Turbo :-D Quote
jonfett Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 I used to play on Grand Turismo 3 a lot, let us know how good this game is. I am sure it will be great, I have heard and seen some great reviews of it. :) Jon. Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 10, 2005 Author Posted March 10, 2005 The introduction is really amazing (I am not going to spoil it for you though ;) ). Like always, you need first to adjust your pad to have accelerator/brake on the analogic, as well as the steering (L/R as you wish). Then the game: I first tried a couple of races in Arcade mode to get the feel of the game. I am far from being disappointed. The sound of the engine is really amazing, and you get a much better feel of speed. Racing in NYC with old classic cars is really fun: I just did a couple of races with the Renault 5 Turbo (from the 80s, too bad its not the Turbo2). After a couple of races I wanted to enter into the real mode!!!!!! For now its passing your stupid licence which is boring :'( !!!! Oh well its just part of the game, so I want to get over it as quickly as possible to start races!!!!!!!!! Have fun you racers ;) Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 13, 2005 Author Posted March 13, 2005 A really important advice!!!! As soon as you start the game, do turn the auto save OFF (I bought a used car to try it and I got stuck with it *devil* ). I really dont want to pass the licences again. Update: I am still having a lot of fun with driving licences (once again, I am not sarcastic :-D ). Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 20, 2005 Author Posted March 20, 2005 Here guys, here's a new update: Do NOT buy any cars at the beginning, because you gain some passing your licences: National B: VW Lupo 1.4 '02 (100hp) National A: Pontiac Sunfire GXP Concept '02 (183hp) International B: Nike One '22 (259hp) International A: Nismo 270 R '94 (270hp) I'm still on the last licence, hey I don't have that much time. The last is boring because its a whole lap :'( Have fun, especially on that Renault week-end *satis* Quote
dyip_90 Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 i like to transfer credits and licenses from gt3 to gt4. ;) Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 22, 2005 Author Posted March 22, 2005 I know that you can transfer 100 000 credits, but concerning the licences no idea and to tell you the truth don't care because I erased the GT3 saveguards on my memory card *sing* Anyway passing licences is good for the cars you obtain ;) Quote
dyip_90 Posted March 22, 2005 Posted March 22, 2005 sadly only b and a licenses can be transferred. :( >:( Quote
xwingyoda Posted March 23, 2005 Author Posted March 23, 2005 Have fun on the Special license ;) 2 more to go *wacko* , yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! After that, races and credits (a lot of credits ;) ). Quote
