May 3, 201410 yr Great looking set! But why not put it in the "City" theme? The difference between City and Creator is getting blurrier and blurrier Edited May 3, 201410 yr by SheepEater
May 4, 201410 yr I'm still in doubt what to think about this set. I will wait until I can see it on display in a shop before I might buy it.
May 5, 201410 yr The Creator and Creator Expert lines are not locked in at a specific scale like "system" sets. Although there are normally some system scaled creator sets each release cycle such as the Modulars. The Mixer is minifig or system scale. However the truck is a bit wide to blend smoothly with vehicles from the City line, which are normally limited to 4,6 or 8 studs wide. The trucks width falls more in line with vehicles seen in other system themes such as Action where 10 or even 12 stud wide trucks are not uncommon. Thanks for the reply, and we are sure this year we don't have a new modular one? If I remeber right in the 2013 we we had the "Horizon Express", which is a model creator expert and a modular "classic" ...so, maybe...?
May 9, 201410 yr ^I'm sure it's a drop-ship scam. The 'auction' doesn't end for a month, and the set should be on shelves next week.
May 9, 201410 yr Go ahead and buy it then, and let me know if/when it arrives in a Wal-Mart or Lego S@H box. The estimated delivery gives it away. May 14-20. Edited May 9, 201410 yr by rollermonkey
May 13, 201410 yr There's an as yet unannounced VIP early release on the 15th, I don't believe that it has been confirmed that this is the set, but the other rumored possibilities (most often ECTO-1 or the Mini Cooper) haven't shown up on S@H yet, whereas the Mixer has, so we suspect it must be this one... But we can always be surprised with TLG.
May 14, 201410 yr Yes, it's definitely this one. So if you have to have it on day one, make plans for a trip to the LEGO store tomorrow.
May 14, 201410 yr Just been on youtube and watched a more in depth review of this awesome set uploaded by jangbricks, im on my mobile at the mo and don't know how to post a link so if anyone can do that for me that would be great and I thank you in advance. I was going to get this set anyway as I love anything to do with fun fairs as I work on a waltzer in the uk but I really can't wait to get this now.
May 15, 201410 yr Ouch....it is hard to see the small lights on the ticket-box... they are not symmetrical... i Always have problems with that...haha.. If i would buy this set (but i don't), i would redo the lights....haha...
May 15, 201410 yr You probably have to be signed in to see this: http://shop.lego.com/en-CA/VIP-Early-Access-10244 The actual listing says it's out of stock, though...
May 15, 201410 yr You probably have to be signed in to see this: http://shop.lego.com/en-CA/VIP-Early-Access-10244 The actual listing says it's out of stock, though... I am a VIP member and I went to the link you provided and it shows add to bag for Canada but June 1st for the UK where I am. I just wanted to post this in case it helps any Canadians who are VIP members get this set early. Edited May 15, 201410 yr by gregrichards
May 15, 201410 yr Ah, so it does! Looks like it's actually available now. Thanks. Personally, I'll be waiting until June.
May 15, 201410 yr The FM shows as out of stock on the US S@H site, log in and its 'available' with a limit of 2. Too bad its not a few bucks off for VIP's....haha! I don't think I want it yet...for one thing, I don't have enough space for it right now...
May 15, 201410 yr Was at the lego store today with no intention of buying this set. But, once I saw it on display, I changed my mind. I agree with one of the lego employees who said none of the photos that she had seen on the Internet really did the product justice. I go to the lego store a few times a month and thought I'd either buy an x wing or a duplicate of a modular. Nope, bought the fairground mixer. This also appears to be something where a family could work on it as a group project as there are so many individual components that can be assembled completely independent of one another. Nice work by lego. Edited May 15, 201410 yr by Off the wall
May 16, 201410 yr That's great to hear, and you're certainly right about the notion of this prompting a group project. It's perfect for it.
May 16, 201410 yr Didn't plan on getting this...then I saw the VIP email and someone ended up ordering one! The deal in the Australian S@H isn't bad. Comes with free Shredder and Balloon Cart polybags! Plus I had Lego points to burn!
