It cracks me up about the idea that new molds are so expensive TLG needs to raise prices to pay for them, when apparently bootleggers can make their own pretty good new molds like that Galactus helmet and still make a profit selling for almost nothing.

Of course they save millions on the licensing :P

Hmm, don't really like the transparent versions but hoping they use this kind of material for some minifigs for which it does really make sense. I'm thinking Iceman, Invisible Girl (in invisible form) or Vision (while phasing) would be cool characters to do with this kind of material. What do you think?

Digger uploaded the second part of the SY Heroes assemble set.

Digger uploaded the second part of the SY Heroes assemble set.

Yeah doesn't seem as positive as the other set, but I've got all 16 coming in one batch, so its not too bad.

What is bad is the spacing between Wolverine and Ant Man's eyes. Yikes.

The thing that confuses me a little with Digger is a slight lack of knowledge sometimes in what he's reviewing.

To be honest he should know that the Daredevil is the NACM figure and that it's an accurate clone of it and he should know that the Beast figure is a copy of a recent EclipseGrafx design.

The Ant Man figure is classic comic design and the Lego version will be movie based so they're completely different things.

I pretty much always replace heads on my bootlegs with genuine Lego ones and I know which head I'm going to use to work with Antman so that fixes that issue. Wolverine is a weird one... the helmet is iffy and the eye issue is terrible. I'll probably switch the head, helmet and claws from a Decool version to sell them on anyway as I've got the Lego version... Loki and Magneto... well... they're just fillers. Even if I keep 9 of the figures from both sets and sell the other figures on for £1 each then the ones I want cost me around 60p each in total. I'll take that all day long.

Please share your knowledge with us :-) i'm in search for a better head too

I wonder if Digger is a wholesaler or a buyer. He did review many bootlegs and genuine legos.

I think he's just a buyer to toys... I think he uses the proceeds raised from his Youtube account to buy the toys he reviews on there... so essentially he's a toy collector who funds his hobby by reviewing them online.

Totally off-topic, but can you really make a lot of money on a Youtube account? That had never occurred to me to be quite honest...

Youtube pays roughly $1 per 1,000 views for ad-enabled accounts, so it's definitely possible if you get a decent following. That 'DC Toys Collector' Youtube account made $4.9 million last year alone from reviewing toys.

Is this the only way to get the bootleg sdcc rocket?

And there is a custom arkham batmobile using non-lego bricks. The design and product seem to be from Czech.

SY also make sdcc rocket

I wonder which of the two SDCC Rockets (SY vs DC) is better, has Digger or anyone else made a comparison?

p.s. as an aside, it's interesting to note that for those who want the standalone SDCC Rocket, it's actually cheaper to source the official TLG polybag (e.g. eBay)... this is a great move by TLG as I've been pushing for...

I am just always wondering the issue of how can the ali express sellers ship the bootlegs to Europe or US with the shipping fee included in their price? The shipping cost should be very expensive to my knowledge

I read that the shipping is heavily subsidized by the government.

SDCC Rocket was never an exclusive figure though.

Same with the figures in the SDCC '66 Batmobile were just those from the Juniors Batcave and Bard was just a preview figure from the Attack on Laketown set.

Collector, Batman of ZEA and Kitty were exclusives though.

I'm still just waiting for someone to do a decent copy of the 2011 SDCC Batman... then maybe the 2013 Spiderwpman.

My tracking number from superblocks still doesn't work... So frustrating. Im never buying from super blocks ever again >:O

I see iron-deadpool, iron-batman, iron-spiderman etc.... *oh2*

What brand are those?? Also where did you find them? Are they for sale somewhere?

Don't know what brand it is. But I found it on taobao and this code of set is JX1001. Probably another new brand with their first release..

:-) funny! Dont need 'em, but do like the idea. And superman is finally the real man of steel.
