Btw i find the feminine torsos funny. But i dont hope they will continue this route. In the end we will have some women with and some without those torsos. It annoys me already :-D

Well if you don't want the official Lego figures... Can't find the SY set or the DLP set and don't want to wait for the Decool set then I suppose the Lele set are of some use! ;)

did anyone check if decools latest box cover was "copied" from the flickr designer they copied in the past? might explain why the box cover of superman shows the "New 52" version.

i agree with agoodfella. i hope they continue with the curved torsos for female figs. i like it and it sets them apart from the male figures.

Decool very rarely deviates from the path with their figure choices though. I can't think of many figures they've done that haven't been a direct copy of either an original figure or a previously designed custom.

They've copied Mnap's Wolverine and Christo's Catwoman, Joker and Punisher. EclipseGrafx's Winter Soldier and Cyclops, Custom Bricks's Fantastic Four. My point being that even if Decool were to use the body shape again they'd probably only be giving a copy of an existing figure with a different body shape.

Mnap73 was the guy whose renders they stole and looking through his Flickr account he hasn't rendered new 52 Supes so it's from somewhere else. He HAS recently done a great render of Guy Gardner so whether the bootleg companies scout his Flickr profile for ideas we may well see it sometime soon.

I'd much rather he pad printed one and sold it as I'd rather give him the money for it.

I think Decool's quality on their printing has been getting worse anyway. The last lot with The Collector was particularly poor.

The only thing I look for from them is bigfigs and the odd double sided head or hairpiece.

True - and I felt that the last SY lot I had was a little disappointing qualitywise.

Now, they are Kreon rip offs, but probably the best versions of Big Hero 6 I have seen yet. The Baymax figure is smaller than the pic suggests which is a shame, the pastic isn't brilliant either, but kudos on the overall effort. Baymax will get a pass into my Displays!

Huh... interesting. I've definitely not seen it before and the fact that I can only find one instance on AE and it's at that price point seems to point to it being new. It does seem to be a bit of an odd offering since most of those figures look to be direct rehashes of figures they've previously released (except for the helmeted Thor.)

picked up my DLP AoU and it got lucky on the thor hammer (its chrome) but unlucky on nick fury. nick fury has missing pieces... also half of the face prints are on not good at all.

yes decool has gotten worse on my latest sets too. i even had some single sided face prints which were supposed to be doubles.

Huh... I missed that. I was thinking it was from the set of 8 spider men that they put out previously but I checked my set and none of them are in that style. The legs don't look right for the 2002 one to me (it had red hips printed with silver) but the "belt" is not printed on the torso either (like the current one) as far as I can tell so I'm not sure what exactly he's going to be. Now I'm going to have to take a closer look at the cap too... I just thought it was out of the set of 8 caps they put out a while back due to the helmet but it could be a new variant as well.

You know, I initially thought the same... but thinking about it, those are probably the most recognizable super heroes that every kid is going to know and want. Keeping a set of them on shelves that appeals to that more casual audience probably behooves SY (AFOLs can only contribute so much! )

Yes, Arealight is the one that uses those torsos for all their SW customs. Not sure how I feel about them here yet...

i didn't order through AE i have a buddy in HK that got them for me. same day digger posted his DLP review.

maybe the early batches had chrome hammers and they run out of stock.

or they decided to cut costs and used grey hammers.

also one of my chrome hammers is picture perfect. the other has alot of small dimples spread over it.

i recommend to get at least two sets of a DLP or decool set to do swappys. you will always have: missing pieces, misprints, smudges, bad quality prints.

Just managed to get my hands on the SY AoU set. It still amazes me how good the quality of their figures are. My only problem would that the joints are a little too tight. But that's hardly a problem when you get bootlegs such as Lele with arms and legs not staying in place.

If anyone in the UK has a spare DLP Ultron and wants to trade it with the SY Ultron, hit me up. I'm not too keen on the design.

SY really needs to change that wolverine mask mold...really badly.

That sets looks interesting actually. Cap looks like the new version but with helmet printing. Thor has leg printing. Batman looks like he has a yellow bat symbol rather than yellow oval with black symbol. Iron Man looks new with a shoulder canon... They all look like slight variations...
