Tyberious Funk Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 What's the general consensus on the quality of the Dargo stuff? I've generally avoiding even looking at their figures... but there are a couple that really interest me, like Doctor Fate, Black Adam, Killer Croc, the Red Hood, the Atom, Kick megablocks... maybe a few others. I'm mostly a DC guy, so wave after wave of Iron Man variations don't really do much for me!

Some are a little iffy, some are ok. They're certainly not truly awful (IQ Bricks anyone?) Depends whether it's being played with (occasional loose joints) or you're just going to display it. Since a lot of the new figures are up for sale as individual figs, just buy one. It's only $1.
soymansilla Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 (edited) Another question: Is there any no glass version of this set of Iron Man?? Dargo 853 http://es.aliexpress...2386407086.html Edited October 29, 2015 by soymansilla

soymansilla Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Nope! Only trans Iron Man. I have to say i like Dargo Trans. I have all of them! I believed that. I'll buy it to complete my collection.
Sebiron Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Another question: Is there any no glass version of this set of Iron Man?? Dargo 853 Sorry no, because like Lego, bootleggers dont want the fans have a complete hall of armors.

I'm mostly a DC guy, so wave after wave of Iron Man variations don't really do much for me! Hmm, it's nowhere near as bad as Dargo has been. The torsos are square like decools, but they use thick arms like SY used to. The print is decent, but the flesh colour used for heads isn't quite right. Basically, the set is worth it for Red Hood (I've swapped the arms and the legs - though the torso is pretty tight so I had to modify the plugs to push it in!) and killer croc (used aqualad's dark blue legs instead). The other figures are ok, well Martian girl and aqualad are done far better by SY, Fate isn't bad but the eye print on the helmet looks a little goofy, the riddler looks pretty good but flesh is too light, kick megablocks looks a little basic to me too, but he's ok. Don't know much about superion, they've painted the top of his flesh arm, but it's not a great paint job. In general, the printing is good though, not as good as SY or Decool obviously. Another note is how narrow the arm socket for the hands are, the hands are useless elsewhere!
Tyberious Funk Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Another note is how narrow the arm socket for the hands are, the hands are useless elsewhere! I've noted this previously in this thread with Decool figures. I accidentally broke my Winter Solider figure trying to force a standard lego hand into his arm socket :( Could it be that Dargo are using the same molds?
Nickcastle101 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Has anyone seen this piece before? https://www.flickr.com/photos/130358788@N08/22505269775/in/faves-65345986@N05/ He says he made it but it's too good for him to of made it, just looking at the previous things he's made its not one of his sculpts, but some kind of Chinese piece or bionicle mask.

Long time lurker, first time writer. I have been collecting alternative lego (I think it is more fitting than bootleg, considering alot is now original designs) for a year as well as real. Anyway I sped up joining as I am a bit like "I know this ONE!!" hahah. That Ultron head is from the OK (The name, not how I feel about it lol) brand age of ultron set. They recently did an antman set that had antman and wasp, along with their civilian identities. It's a shame that they haven't shown up on Ali yet, or their fantastic four set that has blackpanther.
Nickcastle101 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Found it http://www.lelong.com.my/lego-compatible-avenger-age-ultron-vencedor-I2262568-2007-01-Sale-I.htm I don't know why he would lie about something like this
wickedlemon Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Found it http://www.lelong.co...7-01-Sale-I.htm I don't know why he would lie about something like this Interesting Hulkbuster. Why is this not on ali? I know. The sellers read this thread and have seen all the 'no more AOU figures' posts!
Borex Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 And hulk has attachable abs and pecs. That's funny. Scarlet witch has nice red hex thingies too.
agoodfella77 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Found it http://www.lelong.co...7-01-Sale-I.htm I don't know why he would lie about something like this That Ultron helmet looks really interesting -- some day we'll get some non-Potato quality pics of these pre-releases...
Swifty118247 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Has anyone seen this piece before? https://www.flickr.com/photos/130358788@N08/22505269775/in/faves-65345986@N05/ He says he made it but it's too good for him to of made it, just looking at the previous things he's made its not one of his sculpts, but some kind of Chinese piece or bionicle mask. That piece isn't the same as the one one in the OK set. Whether he truly made I don't know but it definitely not the same
wilson3a10 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I didnt see this set before. The utlron head is cool. And the colour scheme of vision is more similar to the movie vision.
Nickcastle101 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 That guy deleted his account I guess he just deleted the picture
wickedlemon Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 (edited) I've emailed the seller I bought the Ant-man OK set from and asked if they will be getting OK1022 in. Maybe if lots of people ask it'll show up. Edited October 30, 2015 by wickedlemon

Swifty118247 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I may have been wrong although I didn't think they looked that similar
Nickcastle101 Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 You were right It was definitely the same piece, if it wasn't he wouldn't have taken down the picture
Wade1Wilson Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 (edited) Hey guys, I am the guy who had that helmet. I said on my flickr that I did add sculpting to it, and the reason why I took down the photo was because I am making a custom body for it and while I was on mobile I accidentally deleted the pic instead of "modifying" it. I did not know deleting a photo would result in this hostile discussion. Sorry if this confused anyone and thanks for your understanding. BTW the figure from the OK brand is only a render. I saw the pics and the helmet looks nothing like the render, which is where I got inspired to make it more accurate to this rendering. My apologies, and once again, thanks for your understanding. Nickcastle101 Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Just based on your previous sculpts I can already tell your not telling the truth, just give up the charade friend. If it's hard for you to paint a straight line it would be impossible for you to make something so symmetrical. Sorry to be so blunt about it but it's the truth.
