Is that a new Captain America or is it part of the SY Cap set? That head looks different from any of the Cap's....?

Its from the SY Captain America set, its a good set at that, comes with SDCC Captain America

Any sightings of new SY sets? Slowly getting over decool figs, the quality or lack of starting to bug me, flimsy hands, loose joints, lousy plastic etc, I'm finding that sticking to SY and replacing the arms yields a much better figure.

I have some pics here

Can anyone confirm if the SY iron man set are round feet or square? cheers

Hi, new SY figs starting to use square feet and wave 2 (white boxes) uses them now. But the wave 1 (red boxes) is old product so they still use round feet.

Cool thanks for the headsup

Love this thread, big fan of the bootleg figures due to Lego's policy of exclusives or not creating to fan demand.

I've got a fair bunch now including both SY and DC superheroes and the SY Football and WWE sets.

Keep up the good work.

If I had to guess, I'd say that Iron Man was stolen from a customizer. Don't know who though, but the quality of that design is too high to be bootleg original, and it doesn't look like any LEGO torso I'm aware of.

As for bootlegs? I'm against them. They ARE illegal, and so I want nothing to do with them. I know this isn't totally black and white, but they are still breaking IP laws. With that said, I don't mind other people buying them if they want them, as I can see their appeal (and the quality isn't bad anymore), but I don't want to associate myself with these, especially since I've heard of people being arrested for buying bootlegs of similar products. It's hazy, and therefore, I shall avoid them. But I am glad that others enjoy them.

You've heard people getting arrested of buying toys? Wow, are you speaking of buying the bootlegs in high quantities to resell them as authentic or am I missing something since that seems really unlikely the chances of getting arrested.

It wasn't these. It was Transformers bootlegs, I think. If I had to guess, I think it was on this very website that I saw it. I doubt anyone would get arrested, I was just stating that I had heard of it before. And that makes me very hesitant to buy them. So I don't.

Are they more illegal than the ones customizers paint up and sell?

A little, but not much. Customizers use official LEGO parts (usually, anyways). Still profiting off someone else's IP. But I don't buy those either. I just make my own, which is perfectly legal, as I make no money.

Fair call, everyone is entitled to how they spend their money, there is no right or wrong here. Also there is nothing wrong with a little competition in the building block market though the legitimacy of some of the items on offer maybe questioned, regardless it’s obvious hobbyist welcome these bootlegs and they are here to stay as these sets seem to be selling like hotcakes

That set alone has more detail than most of the Iron man 3 sets lego officially released, how much did you get the set for ?

Agree, I find most TLM Superheroes sets loose and 'bitsy', the SY set above looks decent and practical for display and minifigure storage, anyone got the instructions they can upload

Finish the SY ironman base. Quite good quality

Thanks for posting these pics. I was curious as to which minifigs were included since the pics so far were so rough -- looks like the MK7, MK 42 and WM.... I was kind of hoping that there would be some new MKs included.... oh well...

But guys check this out -- I'm really curious about how the quality will be for this bad boy (HULKBUSTER) -- crappy pic quality but I haven't seen it anywhere else:
