Rinzler Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Is the quality on Bullseye any good? I kinda lost my custom of him the other day
wilson3a10 Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 I have no problem in bullseye but one of my punisher got this
BigPoppaBrick Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Ordered to Lele and SY swat teams and the Young Justice set. Can't find the Punisher Decool set in eBay yet. Will buy ASAP.

As soon as the set was announced I added a watch for Bullseye in Construction Blocks and today I had loads of hits emailed to me.
Rinzler Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) I have no problem in bullseye but one of my punisher got this I'll replace that head with a Lone Ranger Cavalry Soldier one. You know which on I'm talking about Why is it that the fig that most people are buying the set for always has an issue with it? Edited August 30, 2014 by Rinzler
dirk Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 meanwhile, over at the brickpicker forums there's a concerted effort to get all the bootleg listings removed, lol. http://www.brickpicker.com/forum/index.php/topic/2804-knockoff-brands-bootleg-bricks-mimicked-minifigures/page-29
BigPoppaBrick Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 Really? As soon as the set was announced I added a watch for Bullseye in Construction Blocks and today I had loads of hits emailed to me. Will take a look, maybe down to searching on superhero minifigures punisher
Robianco Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 (edited) meanwhile, over at the brickpicker forums there's a concerted effort to get all the bootleg listings removed, lol. http://www.brickpicker.com/forum/index.php/topic/2804-knockoff-brands-bootleg-bricks-mimicked-minifigures/page-29 I think the issue lies with people either not being well enough informed (I'm still surprised by how many people don't know these exist or people who think they're somehow genuine Lego) or those that have no interest in the figures that aren't produced by Lego so see no reason for these to exist. I've always been of the opinion that if Lego produced these figures I wouldn't need to go near them myself... But they don't. I've also bought some bootlegs and systematically replaced them with pad printed customs due to far superior quality (Spiderman figures spring to mind). I still don't think that these things are damaging Lego's market position, or profits, too much. For minifigure collectors they fill a gap but they'll still pick up genuine Lego... And anyone who just wants a $1 figure wouldn't spend on Lego SH sets anyway. I bet if Sheng Yuan put out a really good quality set of SDCC figures for the usual £6 there'd be a few people who would quietly be very interested... And lots of eBay scalpers who'd be more than a little upset. Edited August 30, 2014 by Robianco
Kire Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 meanwhile, over at the brickpicker forums there's a concerted effort to get all the bootleg listings removed, lol. http://www.brickpick...figures/page-29 Those people have no lives, they act as if they're getting paid by Lego to do their work. I'm pretty sure Lego knows about the Bootleg companies but Lego is too busy sitting on being the number 1 toy company to really care.
wickedlemon Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) Lego know a lot of people are only interested in collecting the figures but seem happy to release them as limited runs or available only in large sets. At a quick guess there's about 200 superhero figures so far. Who has the room to build and display all the sets you'd have to buy to get these figures? Lego have chosen to be a premium brand. Their business model relies on well-off middle-aged fan-boys snapping up everything they sell. With their position as one of the largest, and most profitable, toy manufacturers they could easily make their products cheaper or the figures more accessible but they choose not to. It's no suprise that sooner or later somebody will come along and fill the void for the customer base that can't or won't pay Lego prices Edited August 31, 2014 by wickedlemon
BigPoppaBrick Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Cheers Wickedlemon, set up a search and snagged a set of the Punisher Decool figs for £3.50 overnight.
Rinzler Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 My Thing arrived today, and aside from some minor issues on the shorts, he's not bad
Kire Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Just noticed the Star Lord for the next Decool wave is the one from the Milano spaceship set and not the one in the Starblaster showdown. I will surely be picking that wave now.
dirk Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 should be receiving my punisher set and young justice set in about 3 weeks. arghh the wait is killing me.
Robianco Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 I've just used some vinyl dye to spray up the shoulder areas of a couple of Young Justice figs along with boots for my Fantastic Four sets. Very happy with the result! :)

Brickmamba Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Pictures, or it didn't happen! ;-) Hey thats my line lol
Brickmamba Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Orders slowly arriving, just got my SY phase 2 iron man figs this morning, dont recall anyone bring this up but i found one of the iron man heads is actually a sdcc inspired version, check out the pic very happy indeed
robuko Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) That is actually a NY Toy Fair version. I was comparing my Lego one with the SY one and I nearly had a heart attack because the Lego one has square shoulders just like Decool! It has a Lego tm mark on the neck though, so I think it is genuine. Super weird, huh? Just looking at the figs on my desk my series 1 lady agent, alien conquest alien admiral and Atlantis cthulu fig all have square shoulders too. The SY back print is way off for this fig, by the way, I think they haven't seen a real one. Edited September 1, 2014 by robuko

Oh thanks for the correction, all I know is that its not the standard mask, I have noticed as well lately some official figs having 'sharper' shoulders, maybe decool got hold of one of those figs hence the sharper shoulders on their stuff
Brickmamba Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Got a picture of the next wave? Thought there was a picture posted a few pages back, diggers review shows the next wave as well
