J.V.D. Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 The Decool GotG figs seems to have reached ebay now... but still with a "premiere" price tag.. Up till now also only showing images of the boxes. Has anybody allready seen pics of the figs themselves?

Same guy who is selling the SY FF sets on eBay... Only one I've seen in China at least. I've bought a bunch off him before. He said a couple of days for the SY FF as well and that took about a week. Not a surprise when you consider how big a hit the movie was (and only just come out in the far east) - these figures have come out really fast considering. They are still dirt cheap though! I mean I know we are getting used to paying £2.50-3.00 for 6 figs, but £5-6 for 6figs ain't too bad considering 4 of the selection would cost you £10-£15 each on ebay for the real deal. I'm very happy with the price, though I am sure it will come down over time. Whats upcoming now? There used to be a cheat sheet, haven't heard anything about it at all, the new FF was a surprise, and as Digger pointed out, Pyro's head looks like DareDevil so maybe he's in the pipeline. I'd like to see the Collector and SDCC Rocket.

But the 2 boxes of Darth Vader I bought today have capes. I'm guessing new batches have rectified the missing cape. The ones I bought today were from a newly opened cardbox container. Well just to let you guys know. If you haven't bought Darth Vader, you may get a cape with your minifig now. I was really annoyed the one I bought last month didn't include a cape.
Robianco Posted October 15, 2014 Posted October 15, 2014 I'm sure that saturation point on the more recent sets will happen and with it the prices will drop. I've found there are spells in which the prices are really low then other times when they seem to be higher. Either way they're working out at around £1 per figure at the most... which is still pretty good. I've ordered the GOTG set as placeholders until the actual set prices get some nice sales... but also to see what the future brings with the leaflets they include. SY don't seem to announce stuff really... they don't have preview leaflets or anything... just come out with new product. We've had some decent stuff from them in the last couple of months though. It won't be long before they'll have caught up with all of the official releases that are out and they'll be having to come up with entirely new lines... which is an exiting thought. It also wouldn't surprise me if they then went after some more of the customisers and copied their lines such as NACM etc... although I have most of their figures. I do think that there's at least one big Lego fan who know's whats out and what's hot and is having some say in what SY release... same with Decool.

Mine didn't, I didn't even know you might have got that, I bought it for Magneto & Wolverine (both pretty good I thought), Magneto oddly isn't available in any of the other sets, I also saw that some time ago that Two Face had been available - oddly no sign anywhere now, and there's a figure that attracts a premium price (I ended up buying the magnet and melting the glue)

Given that these things can take as much as 6 weeks to be delivered, I'm not going to hang around and wait for a price drop just to save a buck or two. If another seller comes out with a better price, or I see a listing from a seller that I know has faster delivery... I'll probably just order a second set.

Some of the customs are getting close to looking right, but the price is too much. Gwen Stacy would be a great minifigure to get too, especially now that Lego has the Spooky Girl hairpiece. Robianco Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I've done that with flesh ears for Namor and red ears for Azazel over a black thin base coat to make the hair black... then just give a thin coat of clear acrylic spray to seal it. Really happy with both of them.

Really happy with both of them. I've heard a lot about this "thin base coat" but haven't worked it out, I've just got hold of the kids Acrylic paints and painted the ears, then painted the hair! Fortunately, I didn't make any mistakes (this time!) Do you paint the whole thing first with this base coat?
