The bigfigs looks like they're copied from Warsman who is a member here:

https://www.flickr.c...07/14040726491/

There's a link to his figures... He also did the Hulkbuster and Venom.

Who knows what other figures of his that Decool will copy from his feed. It's a shame... He won't get any financial reward for his work from these bootlegged versions but he should at least get the credit for the physical creations. I don't have the games so I'm not sure if the designs are taken from there or not but either way he should at least get a mention.

Some of his designs mimic the game exactly, while others are originals (Quite impressive at that). His Hulkbuster and Venom are different from the Bootleg versions. His Hulkbuster is noticeably different and Venom is lacking the raised printing of the bootlegged version. So those particular Bootlegs are not based off his designs it would seem. Plus the Venom looks like the design from the game anyway (His Hulkbuster is very original though, I love that you can fit a minifig in it).

As for Rhino and Juggernaut we actually can't tell for sure yet if they're his designs. There are several customs I've seen floating around Ebay, so it could be any of those. And plus they're using the game designs by the looks of it. Right off the bat I can say it's unlikely that Rhino is his design, as the bootleg one looks to be more muscular (Like the game version) than his (I prefer his version though).

Really though, the only way to guarantee a custom mold won't be stolen is to not sell it. The bootleggers apparently buy the custom bigfigs and make a mold from them. So customisers beware.

I don't believe that they copy the custom bigfigs by creating a mold out of them. They'll model them themselfs after the game designs or even use something like 3d ripper or hack the datafiles to extract the 3d models.

Digger's review of the Decool set is up.

The print on the ZEA is more accurate than SY as it has the Batradia on the reverse.

Same as the back print for Batman Begins suit.

Well come January there's a whole wave of DC figures coming out for them to copy! ;)

I think they'll do some more game designs and with that possibly copies of customisers figures.

They may even go into different themes. SY have only just started on LOTR so there's plenty for them to go at.

I hope they go for new figures rather than just clone Lego stuff.

They both look identical to the Lele versions. I'm wondering if the baseplate is just the only difference with a rebrand for some reason.

I think that Groot is pretty good... especially as he costs about 80p.

The print on all of them looks pretty good actually but I'm glad I've got the originals... another Nova officer and Sakaaran are useful though.

The Hobbit figures are interesting.. not the actual figures themselves but the Wargs and Thestral type creatures are interesting moulds... more Elves are always nice.

Looks like they're definitely looking to move into other themes.

Ugh... that Groot does not look a bit like him I think. The only really good part for me would be the torso piece. That might be useful. The rest looks really off to me.

Comparison of SY Bizarro and Le Bao Quan (LEBQ) Bizarro. Bizarro not happy.

The plastic feels very Lele like. Did Lele ever make the Superman set? I picked up 4 different LEBQ sets for around $13 USD total. They took about a month to get to me. The sets were Spiderman, Superman, Iron Man, and Batman. They all looked like other SY sets I already have. But the quality is definitely worse. If you run across LEBQ sets, I would not have high expectations. Everything about them is cheaper than SY or Decool.

I've been hoping to find someone that has a definite newer version of the SY Superman and Spiderman sets.

The old Bizarro has much squarer shoulders that were more in line with Decool's so I'd like to replace that with a newer rounded SY version.

I'd also like to get an updated SY Spidey set for the SDCC version... the old one had the cropped toes and there are updated version with the new Lego leg clones.

Unfortunately getting that kind of info out of an AE seller through messages is almost impossible!

If anyone knows of a seller that has these variations it'd be greatly appreciated!

Looking forward to the SY GOTG set turning up now with the new Lele Military set and the Decool set with ZEA etc.

I'll be grabbing the Disen set as soon as they appear too... For some reason I'm thinking the moulds and plastic, as well as the print, will be really good one those... and the accessories looks really good too.

I've got each of the three coloured Wargs from TLG but I'm tempted to try the Hobbit set from LOTR to see what they're like.

Thanks for this - I was about to ask if anyone had info on LEBQ, they're all over eBay in the UK at the moment.

I was watching my son put stickers on some Decool TMNT skateboards at the weekend, it was great to feel like I didn't need to intervene like I do when he puts stickers on Lego! Then I spotted the bad guy's (don't know his name) silver Skateboard and had the idea for this Silver Surfer picture, which then gave me the idea for the next shot (I'm easily amused)...

I received the SY set of four vehicles with Batman of Zur-en_arrh etc this morning but will be Christmas before I get to 'play with it'
