ClickDastardly Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 What is this world coming to??!! This seller is showing a Sheng Yuan figure with a Dargo box? http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPIDERMAN-Super-Heroes-D1-The-Avengers-MiniFigures-Series-Building-Blocks-/291309093827?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item43d36003c3 Oh nevermind, I just wanted to find something to rant about since the Brickset resellers are always ranting about stuff.
Rinzler Posted December 6, 2014 Posted December 6, 2014 Just wait, somebody will buy an it'll be a Decool fig
agoodfella77 Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 @agoodfella love your minifig versions of rhino and juggernaut. I'm assuming the muscles on rhino's arms are custom? Yes, the arms, torso are custom on the rhino. The rest are either official parts or modded parts (e.g. the horns on the helmet).
pmptstc1 Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUPERHEROES-MINIFIGURES-COMIC-BOOK-CHARACTERS-compatible-with-LEGO-brand-Lot-2-/231269594494?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&var=&hash=item35d8bdf57e The Deadpool in this, is he any good? @agoodfella love your minifig versions of rhino and juggernaut. I'm assuming the muscles on rhino's arms are custom? It's SY so you can expect good plastic and printing. Those are Decool, aren't they? Either way, they are about the best you'll find in bootleg.
AoNZ Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Man I was at the NZ Armageddon Expo a while back now and I saw these Decool figures. There was a stall there that had the figures unboxed on a stand and was selling them for $5 each as Lego mini-figures. I actually thought they were Lego until I got up close to them. It just 'irks' me that these people were selling these to parents and kids as Lego figures when they were not. I hope they were able to tell the difference like me. I did appreciate the likeness they were able to achieve and the variety of characters however.
CrazyDalton777 Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 People who advertise them as LEGO figures, knowing they aren't should be fined if I am honest, surely its a criminal offence to do so? I would gladly buy them as long as they are clearly advertised as being not LEGO, if they advertise as LEGO Compatible thats fine too, jst false advertising grinds my gears.

Robianco Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 Anything that isn't Lego should clearly be labelled as such... Plain and simple. With regards to those blanks I've always thought that the plastic colour was a little bit off... more noticeable on things such as light flesh really. The transparent figures do look pretty good though... that trans clear could be really useful!
Sebiron Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 (edited) Quick pics comparing SY's Young Justice Superboy (which was out a couple of months ago I think) with the Lego one in the current Target promotion. https://www.flickr.c...ly/15756201727/ https://www.flickr.c...ly/15754660930/ SY's one is better! I had been out of LEGO for so long, when I went to Dragoncon this past year I got "conned" by someone selling bootlegs as LEGO as well. $5 a minifigure. Another guy was also selling them but he made it clear they were not LEGO and his price was cheaper. Sadly I bought a few from the first seller. When I got I was a tad bit ticked when I started searching and found Ebay and AE sellers with the same minifigs as I bought for WAY less cheaper. Its too bad that these sellers don't fill the buyers in on the fact that these aren't LEGO.

raminator Posted December 7, 2014 Posted December 7, 2014 SY's one is better! SY´s is originally by eclipseGrafx. So eclipse´s is better :P

Someone does a mashup up Grumpy Sparrows and transformers with custom molds, but I can't get a Legend of Zelda set? What has the world come to? Seriously, if anyone makes a decent LoZ set, I will buy no fewer than 5 sets... Those Grumpy Sparrows transformers are awesome in their ridiculousness, though.
Pitdroid Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I've ordered some of those Trans and blue trans figures. Have not gotten them yet. I'll post when I get them.

I too long for a good LoZ set, the new goblin hat gives me hope for both an old school Green Goblin and at least a custom Link. saw digger's facebook I prefer agoodfellas to be honest, not sure whether Rhino justifies being a big fig. The mould looks decent, but this is the first one that has a printed flesh face, not sure if it looks quite right. Also the body lacks texture, just seems a little plain compared to the awesome Thing we've had. Edited December 8, 2014 by Ecclesiastes deleted quoted photo
gauz Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 (edited) saw digger's facebook From the look of that I dont think the customizers need to be worried. There are so many better ones out there. Edited December 8, 2014 by Ecclesiastes deleted quoted photo

Pitdroid Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Actually like that Rhino is pretty plain. Looks like it would be a pretty good base for some customs.
