DrJB Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) I've seen few instances where lego technic parts were being used in Non-Toy applications. I can name a rack for glass tubes (for chemistry buffs) and the antikythera in a current thread. Can you think of (and post links to) info on the use of Lego (technic) in 'serious' applications? D3K Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) I made a holder for my phone, mountable on a starndard tripod quick detatch mount, very useful for both photos and video I also made a foldable stand for my girlfriend's iPad, to use before I bought her a smartcover. It works great, and folds flat just two studs thick I also know Sariel made several Technic GoPro adaptors EDIT: The tripod phone mount: Edited April 28, 2014 by D3K Quote

nicjasno Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 (edited) I've repaired various broken plastic bits on my car by supergluing lego bricks as reinforcements to them or replacing them with lego bricks altogether. :) Edited May 13, 2014 by nicjasno Quote

DrJB Posted May 14, 2014 Author Posted May 14, 2014 This confirms, one more time, that ... whenever I hear a car is made of 100% lego, it for sure is not ... Quote
