de Gothia Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Avalonia was no longer a safe place for de Gothias two sons, Albion and Elijah. de Gothia had not left the Capital Albion since he recieved the news about the plague. Lena, his wife, had sent letters to him discussing the situation with their sons. They decided to sent the two boys as pages. Albion, with intrests like economy, trading and society wanted to go to Thorshaven and Steen Larsson. Elon Chorian sent men to escort his daughter and grandson up to Thorshaven. Outside the town Steen came to meet them. Elijah, the wild one was eager to learn how to fight for real. His biggest dream was to be a knight. He choosed Sir Gideon. They met in the barracks of Barqa. C&C most welcome! Quote
Torgar Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Nice mocs, I really like the Angled plates on top of the rock work, and excellent photography as always. Quote
Scaevola Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Nice work, especially with that rock section Quote
Gunman Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Indeed nice angled plates there, and I also like the last photo showing Elijah :) Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I like the story and your Gideon! :) Quote
Wat Tambor Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Nice builds and story. I like the rockwork in the first build, well done! Quote
HammerBro Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Great landscaping on the top of those rocks! Nice polished moc as always! Quote
Garmadon Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Very nice builds, DG, though I obviously prefer the first one Great rock-work, the part that is really impressive though is how you topped it off The Kaliphlinian scene is good as well, but it is a little plain and the green shutters don't seem to quite fit in Awesome shot of Larsson BTW Quote
mechamike Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Well done! Nice patches of snow and use of plates and wedge plates on top of the rocks in the first MOC with Albion coming to Thorshaven. The Elijah MOC capture the Mediterranean feel of Barqa very nicely. Not sure about the "corner flags" of the base , and the plant climbing the wall perhaps would have benefited for one more part to feel more dense and some nice flowers in red or pink to "spice up" the nice mood of the scene. kabel Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Nice little scenes, and quite an honor to send your eldest son up North. We shall take good care of him! And it's a good thing to see Steen smiling every now and then! Quote
MikeyB Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Rock work is great. I am assume you used the new joints from the chima Legend Beasts for the angles? if so they are going to open a lot of possibilities for builders Quote
Gideon Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Great rockwork in the first build! Of course I like the second one more however Your interpretation of the barracks of Barqa (@Garmadon: I suspect I have to take the blame for those green shutters) and also your interpretation of my sigfig are really nice. I have to pick up one of those Shakespeare minifigs, and I'm impressed you've actually made Sir Gideon smile! (Which head piece is that?) Welcome to Barqa, Elijah! Your training here will be hard, but you and your father can be sure that the weapon and archery training you will receive are among the finest you can get anywhere in Kaliphlin or Historica. You will also benefit from teaching from the finest scholars at the College of Barqa Quote
Lord Vladivus Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Great couple of scenes that really fit the two different guilds! Quote
TheUtilityBelt Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 If Elijah is ever near Carn, I would love to meet him! I wonder what he would think of meeting a werewolf? Quote
MKJoshA Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 You really bring Historica together with your builds. I love it! Quote
Rogue Angel Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Great story DG! I too really like the angled pieces over the rockwork for the Mitgardia build. The incorporation of the other guild members is a huge plus IMO. Excellent MOC! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Both are excellent builds, I really enjoy how you connect your character's storyline to other people's characters The angled dark tan plates in the Mitgardian build look sweet open feel in the Kaliphlin build is great Quote
Gabe Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Cool pair of vigs deGothia! Good to see the kids are seeing some more of Historica. The angled plates on the Mitgardia build look very nice, and your reference to Gideon's build in the Kaliphlin vig was instantly recognisable... nicely played! Quote
Kai NRG Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 A couple of good vigs here dG, particularly the Kali one. Impressive work with the landscaping on top of the rocks in the first one! Quote
de Gothia Posted May 3, 2014 Author Posted May 3, 2014 Thanks all! I do like to incorporate the others sigsfigs! =) Makes the stoty alive! And as said by other, I blame Gideon on those shutters! Something that they have down in Barqa! ;) I agree about the flags Mechamike, didn´t know where to put them! I´m GoH old school and the rules back in the days said that your guildcolour should be in the moc! Mikey: Yup! You are right about the joints! Love those little ones from Chima! Quote
Infernum Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Two great builds! Glad Albion knows that the north is the best! Quote
