lifeinplastic Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Playmobil are celebrating their 40th birthday! I used to have a few sets as a child but it didn't quite intrigue me the same as Lego. However, I often looked at their City sets hoping that Lego equivalents would be made. Therefore to honour Playmobil's anniversary, which sets (past or present) would you most like to see 'Lego-ised'? p.s. I am looking mainly for City sets discussion although other themes most welcome.
mapimi Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 The Playmobil post office was awesome, and lego hasn't had one since the 80s, and I remember wanting the playmobil police station with the elevator and helipad when I was small, a friend of mine had it, remember I was so jealous ^^. My brother had the playmobil police car with working lights, that's something lego could work on, of course playmobils being at a larger scale, helps to add details like working lights and so on on vehicles.
jfbat Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Ah, I never was much of a Playmobil fan, though I remember playing with the civil war era sets at a friend of mine, who had quite a lot of those blue guys. I don't remember having any Playmobil sets myself, jut wasn't interested since there was nothing to build. Still don't really follow them, though I have the idea that they generally do the same themes (police, fire, camping). Saw they also have collectible "minifigure" in polybags...
LOTRfan Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I used to play with playmobil when i was younger, but as i was into lego so much i always broke the figures trying to get the hair off...
Rick Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 There's a old thread in the Community forum about this exact topic. Feel free to continue the discussion there.
