MKJoshA Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) See the previous tales: Wyndor's Saga: Chapter 1 -What Has Past- Chapter 2 Part 10: A New Home Part 10.1:(You're Here!) Part 10.2: Cramped Spaces Part 10.3: Enthusiastic Worker “Again!” shouted Wyndor. He had found the foot soldiers to be willing students, though they had a long way to go before they were up to the standards Wyndor expected of them. He was impressed with the training tools they had at the Barracks. There were the usual assortment of weapons to train with but also a wooden dummy and a mock hill on which to practice defending the high or low ground. Since Dålig Ulv was situated at the base of Mt. Mitgard, fighting on hills and mountain sides would be a common situation. Wyndor asked Natolyth to help with the training by applying a magic edge to the swords so his militia could practice fighting with real blades without fear of maiming each other accidentally. “So what do you think of the men?” asked Wyndor. “I think they have a long way to go, maybe even as far as you had to when we first met” answered Liam. Wyndor thought, “Some things never change.” Most of the men had homes in the city, but the barracks were built to be able to house a number of them if needed. Because there was more space in the soldiers barracks, often some of the archers would spend time there rather than in their own cramped courtyard. Edited May 2, 2014 by MKJoshA Quote
