Superkalle Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 It seems the Technic shock absorber, extra hard, is indeed faulty in this release. You can't use the one in the palette, and opening any old LXF-file with it, will cause it to be removed. I don't know if and when it will be fixed, but normally the LDD Team wait a week or so after a new release to see what bugs are reported, and if it is serious enough make an small patch. I don't know for sure this will be the case this time, but let's hope so. Quote
CM4Sci Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I'm still having trouble with this, and it's really upsetting. -Sci Quote
Cagerrin Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 "All thin Technic beams can allow stud conn" 1392 confirmed best update in a long time. Quote
domboy Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I show 3265 total parts in LDD Extended mode for a increase of 157. This would show five parts were removed? No new colors. Anyone know what parts were removed? I got the parts update and now my model complains about an unknown part and removes it (I forget the exact wording of the error). I think I may have figured out which one, but not 100% sure yet. Is there a way to tell? Quote
JGW3000 Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 "All thin Technic beams can allow stud conn" Great timing, solved a problem with my current MOC project, plus having part 11214 Con. bush FR 2M+Cross axle. Quote
mzoli Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Panels 87080 and 87086 still do not allow stud connections :-( Quote
matt_one Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 (edited) Automatic update starts today, when launched LDD on 3 different pc. Each of them shows the same problem : LDD starts to install new bricks, receiving about 159 Mb of data. After that it quits! Tried to uninstall and go with a fresh installation, but I've still the same problem. I can't use LDD no more! Edited May 2, 2014 by matt_one Quote

lightningtiger Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I find the parts pallet no problem, all those new parts for city MOC'ing......though I find the colour pallet in the wrong position to access all the colours....I can only see 8 legacy colours, though I have a full listing of metallic and transparent colours as before. obsidianheart Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 Though, I still don't know where is 11219 from. 11219 is this without the print. Quote
SithMageHenry Posted May 2, 2014 Posted May 2, 2014 I don't see any Simpsons things on that list Quote
CM4Sci Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 The update works on other computers in my house, but not this one. Why this one? -Sci Quote
Bricksandparts Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Same here! -Sci Me too. It finishes installing the new bricks and crashes. Help would be greatly appreciated. Quote
CM4Sci Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 (edited) EDIT: IT WORKED! Finally! Can all my previous complaints be removed please? Thanks Pretty sure these are the only new decorations -Sci Edited May 3, 2014 by CM4S Quote
matt_one Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Me too. It finishes installing the new bricks and crashes. Help would be greatly appreciated. Disabled the network card and ran LDD in offline mode. At least I can go on with my work in progress, that's better than nothing. Quote
Superkalle Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Panels 87080 and 87086 still do not allow stud connections :-( Have you reported it before? Quote
Bricksandparts Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 EDIT: IT WORKED! Finally! Can all my previous complaints be removed please? Thanks If you mean you were able to launch LDD, could you tell us what you did that made it work? Mine is still broken. Quote
CM4Sci Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 If you mean you were able to launch LDD, could you tell us what you did that made it work? Mine is still broken. In case you were also getting the compatibility error message - wait until LDD updates (takes longer this version, about 30 minutes, or build in offline mode) turn down the compatibility in Preferences, and then keep restarting LDD until it updates. -Sci Quote
Leewan Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 11219 is this without the print. Yup, that's what Superkalle told me yesterday. Quote
Yooha Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 What is a '90s brick base? I thought those bases for castles, but I didn't find such things. Quote
Bricksandparts Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 In case you were also getting the compatibility error message - wait until LDD updates (takes longer this version, about 30 minutes, or build in offline mode) turn down the compatibility in Preferences, and then keep restarting LDD until it updates. -Sci It appears we are not having the same problem. I receive no message, after LDD launches it says it is installing the bricks and as soon as it finishes that it simply closes down. Quote
mzoli Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Have you reported it before? Ooops, you are right Superkalle. I just posted 8066 Model B where I mentioned the Errors then I forgot to report the issue. Quote
Andrew Harvey Posted May 3, 2014 Posted May 3, 2014 Still no technic 1-wide plates with the holes in the ends, but still a cool update :) Quote
Gnac Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 I must say that I really appreciate the LDD Team's efforts with all these updates. There's a lot of good stuff in the latest update, and It is good to see more legacy parts. I often wonder what the designers of classic parts might think about people loving their geometries enough to crave them in LDD. It is also totally splendid that we have the means here to offer feedback on what is at its most basic form, a really great CAD package. I use LDD as a Prototyping tool, to design, buy, then build. It has come in useful even for things that I don't eve feel confident in being useful to others - the Top-right quadrant of this image contains a desk stand for a smartphone (there's also a thing in the foreground that I am developing with LDD, you might know about a larger version of it :B). Flobnomdob Posted May 4, 2014 Posted May 4, 2014 Took a screenshot of my problem... I shouldn't be the only one to experience it Palette trouble... by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Funnily enough, I have the opposite problem. I can't reach any of the Legacy colours because of the modern list pushing them down off the screen. Have I missed an update? I'm seeing an enormous amount more prints for heads, torsos and legs (Including arms). It seems as if they've finally uploaded the prints of all the CM figures, and a couple more. I think the next udate should redesign the GUI for prints. I'm squinting at the screen to see if I'm adding the right 'crotch' print. Quote
