May 20, 201410 yr If your doors aren't to heavy https://www.flickr.c...jn/13915731089/ Thanks! That is a good solution, but the mechanism that I have is for remote opening from the rear... I am actually using the new steering arms to create the pivot point for the up and outwards motion...
May 21, 201410 yr Wow, that's amazing. Looks extremely realistic and accurate to the real thing. Do you have any intentions to put it on LEGO CUUSOO/Ideas? I'd definitely support it!
May 21, 201410 yr More than cool! It's awesome! Have no words, only emotions!)) Really wonderful MOC.
May 21, 201410 yr Has it really been 16 months allready? When you first mentioned it I was anxious to see the full thing.. and now .. well to be honest; I am amazed! This is truly one piece of great engineering! And the way it looks.. Excellent!

May 22, 201410 yr The way you've built this in modular sections impresses me most. Watch the first part of the video was almost exactly like watching a real one being built. Congrats on your tag and being front paged
July 16, 201410 yr Any update on the instructions? Seems like something that'd be right up Blakbird's alley.
July 16, 201410 yr Well, I got the chassis pretty complete (it only needs to be tested by someone). The body still needs to be done, but Dikke and I were both very busy last weeks, but I think work has calmed down again
July 16, 201410 yr Well, I got the chassis pretty complete (it only needs to be tested by someone). Well, if you need someone to help, give me a call.
July 16, 201410 yr Any update on the instructions? Seems like something that'd be right up Blakbird's alley. If my alley hadn't been so full, I would have been all over this. As it stands, I am just as eager to start building it as everyone else.
September 6, 201410 yr Yup, instructions are almost finished. Here's a wip picture. As you maybe can see, the digital model isn't completely perfect (a few litle overlapping parts). The model has all those weird angles that it's quite difficult to recreate digitally. And, in real life, you can put a little stress or bend a part a millimeter. In LDraw, all parts stay just completely straight And, to be honest, the car is far from legally build concerning Lego's rules for legal building... The most "important" one (and the only thing I don't like that much about this car personally) is that you need to take the springs out of a stiff (yellow) shock absorber. Although it doesn't damage the parts and you can put the shock absorber back together, it's just not the most elegant way to make a suspension. But, you have to make sacrifices if you want to have good looks and this model looks (in my opinion) beatiful But, yea, I think the instructions will be finished within a week (or two) (unless the testing shows that the current steps are just garbage :P )
