tra8cer Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 (edited) I have always wanted to make my Bank building into a modular with a drive up teller. I have seen someone make this set into a modular before but I really wanted to incorporate a drive up window. The interior and details outside are not yet complete but here is my building so far. This is my first MOC, also first real project in LDD. UPDATE new images. Edited May 8, 2014 by tra8cer Quote
Wodanis Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 Looking pretty good there Tra8cer. I think the drive through teller is a pretty good idea. I see these areas at banks all the time. Quote
eurotrash Posted May 7, 2014 Posted May 7, 2014 It's looks good! If I can make a suggestion you might want to considering making the drive through lane a bit wider. As it currently stands a six-wide vehicle would be scraping down either side. Are you going to brick it in real life? Quote
tra8cer Posted May 7, 2014 Author Posted May 7, 2014 I have made some changes to the base, raised the whole model about 2 bricks higher, and finished off the interior. I do want to build this to brick eventually, I have most of the yellow bricks. I would just need some windows and doors. https://www.flickr.com/photos/88198986@N04/ -my photo stream. Quote
Xyver Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I like what you've done with the building. This works quite well expanded to modular scale and makes for a nice modern style building. If you do brick build it, I would suggest adding another row of bricks to each level, making it closer in height to the GE. Quote

I also updated the first post with new pictures. Quote
Hey Joe Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Hey, looks great. I might suggest making the left side three doors wide instead of four. It looks a little too large maybe? Joe Quote
bit_bang_boom Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Kinda nitpicking, but it's kinda weird that the safe is so visible in the window. Seems like a security concern. :D Love the look and build though. I hope this gets brick-built in the near future. :) Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 AWESOME LDD modular 'tra8cer'.......are you going to brick build it ever ? Brick On LDD On 'tra8cer' ! Quote
Moebius118 Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Excellent choice. I've wanted to expand my 3661 as well. I like the desk arrangement and how you got rid of the skylight, I particularly thought the skylight was ridiculous in the original version. Any chance for a LDD file? Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 I think you translated the official set to Modular nicely. With that said, I'm not a modern architecture fan, so the design of the building doesn't appeal to me. I don't think it blends with the rest of the line as well considering most are older architecture styles. Quote
scottwb2010 Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Nice expansion of the official set. Would fit into a city perfectly Quote
droomangroup Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 yeah i really like this, and can't wait to see it in plastic. if i could make a suggestion, the back is a big wall of yellow. what about like a big exterior ventilation shaft or fire escape stairwell to break it up and add some details? just a thought, great MOC and great take on a stock set. BricksMcgee Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Love 3661, and this is a great mod to it. Would fit nicely among my modulars! Quote
