About this creation

Hello everyone,

Here is my latest project! This was built for a school presentation about the book Huckleberry Finn, and as she said visuals are appreciated, I automatically turned to Lego! :)

I had tons of fun building this creation, I used lots of new techniques that I have never tried before. For instance, the unusual pine tree (find the design here, thanks Anthony Wilson for the fantastic design!), the water, the irregular baseplate, the sloped landscape, and using flex-tubes for trees.

If you are going to BrickWorld Chicago this year, you might get to see this in person, along with other projects. :)

I love how you made the water like it's flowing and the rippling. I'll consider that in my next build where water plays an important part.

Great idea with those olive green cheese slopes. I recently bought many of them and I yesterday thought about what to do with them.

Great idea to build something for a school presentation. I'll do that next time too!

Thank you krono! The flex-tubes are used as the trunk for the tree on the right, the curved one. I was able to curve it since the trunk is made of a couple flex-tubes. :classic:

This is fantastic. I really love the multi-layered tiles for moving water. Trees are great, I never thought of building them that way.

This is pretty awesome.

I really like that you were able to create something this cool, using mostly inexpensive pieces (i.e. pieces that have been recently in the Lego Store PAB bins).

This is one of your best builds yet, Matthew. The water effect looks very nice and the other landscape works also well.

This MOC is beautiful! I like how it is so original and free-flowing, not hard, square, gigantic, and gray like many others I have seen. The trees are really nice as is the river. Please turn this into a series of MOCs- this is just so cool!

Agreed. Definitely submit this! It would get my support immediately and LEGO needs a set like this!
