Hi!

After completing my Swingloader Mk III, I haven't had a lot of time to build something big, so I tried my hands on something small instead.

I made this a couple of days ago, trying to get a lot of technical (albeit simple) features into a small package! :classic:

I tried to make it a scale comparable to that of this years' constructon crew set, and here it is next to that set's excavator

Most of the features are explained in the next picture, except the second stage of the dipper, which is lifted manually.

Here is an underside shot, showing the track extending mechanism. Not the sturdiest of designs, but more than enough.

Higher resolution images can be found in my Bricksafe folder

I will be making an LDD file, if anyone is interested..

Lastly, I actually made a video BEFORE making the topic, so here you go, showing all features (I think) :classic:

Its a very cute small set with lots of functions! I see you used lots of Mini La's some 8?

Thanks, and correct; 8 is the magic number! :classic:

Thanks everyone, I'm glad you liked it!

As promised, here is the LDD file, if anyone wants to build it (or just have a look at how it's put together) :classic:

It measures in at 610 pieces +/- two track links (getting them just right is not an easy task)

I have grouped the chassis and superstructure separately for ease of viewing.

There should also be a small rubber band between the two red parts on the claw. The red parts in question should of course be black
