Eric grumbled. He just didn't seem able to land a single hit on the Seneschal and the hits that do land, hardly damage the creature at all. He looked over his shoulder at Periwinkle and slightly smirked. At least she had some luck.

Eric sighed and rested on his mighty greatsword for a while. This battle had been a tough one and the loot was rather meagre for the efforts spent. At least the party would finally be able to get rid of the tower now. After that, it's only a matter of time before the Nord would be stinking rich from the reward gained for the quest.

Althior staggers back, taking two Grand Tonics. He puts his hand through a large hole in the Seneschal's robe. His actions had finished off the bastard. It was only fair that he claimed what was his. He removed his Elven Robe and placed the Seneschal's Robe in its place. He rolled up his old robe and placed it against a large gash in his side before tossing 50 gold each to Eric and Nur.

He slightly removed his glove. The once infected design he had had there was now gone. But why? He then glanced up to the tower. "Do we dare enter? Or shall we blow this place once and for all?"

"Very well then," Althior tosses three tonics to Walbartan. "That should do it," She drinks them then continues to heal herself, Dain, Nur, Althior, and Periwinkle. Althior takes his Mead, Smelling Salts, and Dragon Scale. Whatever was in there, it wasn't going to be pretty. He walked up the steps, exhausted. It had been a while since he'd gotten any sleep. A very, very long while. He looked up to the tower as he made his way to the door. This ordeal would be over soon, hopefully. He tugged at the handles, trying to open the door. If it doesn't work, he kneels down and attempts to melt the hinges.

My stats look good for me, though Nur probably should've picked up his Horseshoe and Sarge shouldn't have the Robe of the Seneschal in his inventory any more. Thanks for running this battle! :sweet: Also Pyro, you do realize you got two Garnets from the Seneschal, right? It's fine if you want to keep them, I just forgot all about them until now. :blush:

Sarge downs his final mead and pours a potion into the Demonic Scissor's hollow slot. He then raises his shield, flexes his arms and prepares to go into the tower at a sprint.

"You flank left, I'll take right" he murmurs to no-one in particular.

Eric nods in agreement as he pockets the gold he received from Althior. He was content with the gold and couldn't care less for most of the magical trinkets and beverages. Could would buy him whatever his heart desired.

"That was a hefty brawl," the Nord said and uncorked one of his Meads, "makes a drink more than deserved."

Seeing Althior walk up the stairs, Eric asked: "We're going in there? I thought we just had to blow the thing up. Not that I mind, thought", he smirked, thinking of the hidden riches that may well rest inside the Tower.

He, too, then took some Smelling Salts and rolled his shoulders once more. "Let's bash some skulls."

Eric drinks a Mead and uses Smelling Salts.

En Sabah Nur remains in the background as his companions make their way towards the Tower's innards. He stands over the naked Seneschal and attempts to remove a circular cylinder shaped piece that ended in a conical frustum. With the other golems animated by dark magic, the Seneschal provided the only chance to study how to create and animate anthropomorphic beings as real geomancers seem a little stingy when it comes to sharing their knowledge. Evoking spirits was as close as he could get at the moment but Nur wanted a mindless drone that would be present at all times and he could command fully. He did not want a creature that returned to its own plane of existence whenever it felt like it. These summons would often explode and return to their homes during combat or when they felt danger has passed. That was no longer acceptable for En Sabah Nur.

QM Note: Thank you so much for handling the battle for me and keeping my players busy, Flipz! Now, onto the explosive conclusion of the hundreth quest... :wink:

The morning sun's first rays appeared over the northern mountains, slowly illuminating the courtyard the heroes stood on. The Tower of Babel rose in front of them, and nothing stood in their way but the metal front door on top of a set of stairs.

"I do not know what material this is, but it seems hard as metal and thick as stone. I don't know how many bombs it would take to even get through that wall. We are better off planting the bombs inside, demolishing the interior pillars, and letting gravity handle the rest. We should spread the bombs into two or three floors of the Tower, just to be sure. We then use the fuse to connect them and the detonator to make them explode from a far. Trust me, you do not want to be anywhere near that place when it comes down!"

Nur stowed the heart, a cheshire grin upon his face. He turned in time to see Althior reach the threshold. "Hey Althior, is it safe for us to go in? Should check for-Hold on, I...am coming up." He makes his way up the stairs. Nur uses his magnifying glass on the floor then points it up to the ceiling without crossing the door's threshold. "We got lucky with door but it doesn't mean the interior is not protected. Of course I'm too afraid to stick my head in far enough to check the walls ."

Climbing the stairs to Althior, Nur also felt his ether rapidly draining out of his reach. Investigating the threshold with the magnifying glass, Nur could make up a faint glow around the doorway. It seemed there was a strong anti-magical field inside the Tower, preventing the use of ether.

Althior stumbles back, catching himself on the wall. For the first time in a while, he was scared. Whatever this witch was playing at, it was not natural. He wasn't doing this for the Wolfgang anymore. Whatever this witchcraft was, it had become personal. In a swift motion, he removes his gloves and places the Metal Claw over his hand. He tosses his Robe of the Elven Necromancer to Nur. "That armor of yours won't help here I'm guessing,"

He slowly stepped over the threshold, but quickly fell back, using only his staff to support himself. He propped himself up. He felt cold. Freezing Cold.
