8BrickMario Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Terrific! I love the Wizard's decorated cape, the Hun's felt cape is great, as is the Princess's hair. The Goddess has nice arm printing, and apparently, gold panties...The Space Miner's armor is printed, yay. I like the gold bells on the Jester's hat, and the Dino Tracker hair looks interesting, but it looks like it might be rubber. YES! THE GENIE HAS THE NEW HAIR!!!!! Okay, sorry, had to get that out, must get her ASAP. I'm very excited now. Quote
Robert8 Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 Terrific! I love the Wizard's decorated cape We got the printed cape afterall! I wonder if it is made of the same fabric used in the Bride's veil Quote
8BrickMario Posted August 31, 2014 Posted August 31, 2014 (edited) I'm guessing it's not felt, but more like Vitruvius's cape. Although it could be the typical stiff cloth. It's nice that the photos show the unprinted inside of the cape to give the finder a surprise if they don't know about it. And this series has the most cloth pieces in it: *Cape and collar on the Wizard *Skirt on Battle Goddess *Skirt on Spooky Girl *Felt cape on Hun Warrior I am still rejoicing about the Genie's hair! I would have been immensely disappointed in LEGO if they missed the opportunity, but now I'm sure the hair was designed for her and thrown in for the Tracker. Funny that there were no preliminary names/mistranslations this time. The names we've known have been correct the whole time. Edited September 1, 2014 by 8BrickMario Quote

I'd agree that there could have been a good chance for a new color of rare braid hairpieces if there's no hairstyle sharing. Maybe fewer molds can save some more production cost than reintroducing an old hairpiece? As result I'm pretty bored by the new Lifeguard's ClubMax hairstyle. It's not a good choice to me not only due to it's reappearances in Friends, action themes and CMF series itself, but it's also used by a previous beach character. The dark brown is new to it but maybe a dye would be more like a save. Edited September 1, 2014 by Dorayaki Quote
obsidianheart Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Gonna retract my Bespin Leia guess now that I've seen the Tracker/Genie hair. I dunno what licensed character it'd be for, though. Quote
AmperZand Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 Huh. I just assumed that people bought these by the case. That's what I do. I ask my local retailer to order an extra box in for me and keep it sealed. I then ID all the minifigs at home by looking through the packaging and only opening the ones I want. The rest I sell at cost to fellow AFOLs at my LUG. It saves me the hassle of standing in store and feeling packets, hoping the minifigs I want haven't gone. Quote
Robert8 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 I think her hair piece is supposed to enhance her resemblance to the genie of I Dream of Jeannie Talking about hairpieces, I have mixed thoughts about the Swashbuckler. I liked him at first but now I think he would look better with this hairpiece Quote

8BrickMario Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) It was an American sitcom about a genie named Jeannie who served a NASA pilot, often with magical mishaps. This genie's hairstyle is almost identical to Jeannie's, without the headscarf. Edited September 1, 2014 by 8BrickMario Quote

I thought to eBay my extras, but I cannot compete with American sellers due to the high cost of Canada Post. Hahaha. Quote
8BrickMario Posted September 2, 2014 Posted September 2, 2014 I'm sure that the Wizard cape is the same material as Vitruvius's now, since after reading the review more carefully, WhiteFang said it was much softer than the average cape. I'd collect a few just for those capes! Quote

Robert8 Posted September 4, 2014 Posted September 4, 2014 That bottle would have been a great accessory for the Genie Girl! Quote

Robert8 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Apparently, Toys R Us is already selling them! Can anyone confirm this? Quote
Blakstone Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 They were not out yesterday at my local TRU. Though I did see them rearrange some of the metal adjustable shelves in the LEGO section. I will have to check again next week tomorrow. Quote
8BrickMario Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 (edited) I'll be going to one tomorrow! I will go crazy if they have them. Genie and Spooky are my priorities! I just realized something great. If you want the Spooky Girl to really look like Wednesday Addams, use this hairpiece! It's nearly perfect! Edited September 13, 2014 by 8BrickMario Quote
