Blakbird Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 In case people are wondering what I have been working on, there's a secret project with Brunojj..... Quote
Blakbird Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 can you share the ldr file Please?? We're planning to sell instructions so I can't share the LDraw file. I created the file from scratch over the last several weeks based on information from Brunojj. There is still a lot of work to do before building steps are clear. This is one of the most accurate scale Technic cars I have ever seen, so I'm hoping everyone will be happy with the result. Quote
Meatman Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 What are those pieces in the front of the dash? Are those black flex axles? Quote
Meatman Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Ok, this is the brickshelf folder for this model. I knew I had seen it before. Hopefully we can get the new steering arms from the new custom pick up truck soon. People on Ebay want $10 each for them now. The brake calipers are a nice touch! I assume that they rotate around when the wheel rolls? I guess they would have to. Quote
Edwin Korstanje Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 SuperB project Blakbird and BrunoJJ . The lines of the 458 are amazing good  . Quote
bmollema Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Amazing design, love the lines and the details....cannot wait to start building this one...... Quote
dsoffers Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Even though I'm not much of a Ferrari fan, this is extremely cool. How many parts does it need? Quote
captainmib Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 So. Much. Amazing. Car. MOCs. Stahp building such awesomeness, because i can't decide what i want to build anymore... Note to self: get some of those old style panels, they are used a lot. Quote
Blakbird Posted May 22, 2014 Author Posted May 22, 2014 Even though I'm not much of a Ferrari fan, this is extremely cool. How many parts does it need? About 2000. Note to self: get some of those old style panels, they are used a lot. A couple of years ago I parted out about 10 Nitro Muscle sets and I had dozens of these panels. I had them listed on Bricklink and no one would buy them and I finally lowered the price and sold them for next to nothing. Now I need them! Quote
Rishab N Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Really nice realistic car can't wait for instructions Quote
dsoffers Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 About 2000. I expected more, to be honest. Thanks. Quote

It has a bit of Model Team touch to it, which is very very nice! Quote

jantjeuh Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Looks great, but not a big fan of the stacked liftarms below the doors. Quote
legolijntje Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Blakbird! You're creating too many instructions lately, I can't buy them all and now I have to chose Is there a link somwhere where we can get more info about the car (the lego version)? But, I'm looking forward to the result Quote
Blakbird Posted May 23, 2014 Author Posted May 23, 2014 Blakbird! You're creating too many instructions lately, I can't buy them all and now I have to chose That is for sure! Blakbird Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 The instructions were complete enough that I was able to do a test build this weekend. A few photos are below and more at my Bricksafe. Everything went well. Now I just need to all the wires to the instructions. With 6 sets of lights and 4 motors, it will take a while! Quote
