Lady K Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Simply amazing! :) Wow! Some many awesome details to look at, where do I begin. I love the tree in the market square as well as the stalls of food. The Black Swan looks phenomenal! I love that design! Is it based on a real place? Quote
krono111 Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Lovely house roof! I love that the hole thing is so clean. Great tree design (tutorial?) Another awesome build from you. Quote
ZCerberus Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 Looks really good! Wrong Guild like thingy though. Quote
TheLegoDr Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 I love how clean and tight this build is. The chimney stonework is especially interesting to me. I may have to take a closer look at that to work on my own stone settings. The market scene works quite well. This whole build comes together nicely. Hopefully one day I can put together something like this. Quote
emilstorm Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Really nice roof and chimney! And good water effect. Quote
Simon_S Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Nice build mate! It looks very clean, while you still have a lot of details in there. Good job and brick on (and join the Guilds of Historica ). Quote
Balthazar Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Awesome! Lots of interesting design solutions, nice tavern (and market too) Quote
frumpy Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Are the windows on the bottom floor brick built? Quote

Yes, The Old Weaver's House in Canterbury was in part responsible for the archectural look (click for details): Quote

Another awesome build from you. Thank you Krono, I will have to do a tutorial here when I get the time. Right now I'm swamped getting LEGO-ready for Brickfair VA builds, but I will do one. This tree is one build, very good for public displays. Looks really good! Wrong Guild like thingy though. Thank you ZCerberus. The signature block is mine from another....er....um....[awkward] another online role-playing forum, which, in my defense I joined long before I had even heard of Eurobricks I love how clean and tight this build is. The chimney stonework is especially interesting to me. I may have to take a closer look at that to work on my own stone settings. The market scene works quite well. This whole build comes together nicely. Hopefully one day I can put together something like this. Thank you LegoDr! That's a great build. The tree is really nice. Are the windows on the bottom floor brick built? Thank you frumpy. These lower window panes are from 4756-1 Shreiking Shack. I've had them in my inventory for years waiting for the right build to use them. Really nice roof and chimney! And good water effect. Also the roof and the chimney here! Nice! Thank you emilstorm and Ritsz! I appreciate your comments. Nice build mate! It looks very clean, while you still have a lot of details in there. Good job and brick on (and join the Guilds of Historica ). Thanks so much Simon, very much appreciate it. I wish I could join GoH, but LoR and getting ready for Brickfair VA are eating up all the LEGO-time I have right now! Awesome! Lots of interesting design solutions, nice tavern (and market too) Thanks Balthazar, it took a while to work those solutions out, especially that roof with the gables. Excellent work Gary!! Hey Steven, good to see you on here. Thanks a bunch; wish you guys were coming to BFVA this year. Thank you so much everyone!! Very kind of you. Edited May 26, 2014 by Gary The Procrastinator Quote
Macsen Wledig Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I have a bit of a thing for peaceful historical scenes, so this MOC is right up my alley! It's a beautiful build and I really like the way you've made the mundane actions of everyday life really come alive. Quote
tazzy007 Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Excellent work love very part off it espically the roof Quote

I know your work too on Hadrian's Wall series, and it's brilliant, so coming from you a true compliment, thank you. This is just simply magnificent! Thank you so much. Excellent work love very part off it espically the roof Thank you very much; that roof was the hardest part. Quote
