Posted May 25, 201410 yr Seeing as it seems like the Lord of the Rings theme has ended, I decided that I would have to build my own Treebeard. I was never actually a fan of the "Ent" from the Tower of Orthanc set, so here's mine. https://www.flickr.com/photos/andyd6/14078574478/in/photostream/ What do you guys think?
May 25, 201410 yr I really like that mini tree beard. Nice use of the mixels parts. I might have to steal/copy this design! Will you build more mini-ents and then a mini Isengard to go with them? You could make a whole mini diorama....
May 25, 201410 yr Feel this is a great size! Got to agree that Lego's Ent doesn't look great! Nice job!
May 26, 201410 yr Great job. I want to try and make an ent that's more the height of the ones in the books than the films, and your version is a very helpful guide to what can be achieved.
May 26, 201410 yr Nice one. I was also thinking about making a treebeard, using the new mixels parts. This is very helpful as a design.
May 27, 201410 yr Good treeman! I like the fiery eyes and the very beardlike beard. Maybe a bit more greenery around the top? There is also a whole thread on trees somewhere in the forum. Yours should be included. Also in my sig there is a tree demon link. Edited May 27, 201410 yr by Wardancer
May 27, 201410 yr Very nicely done. I like how you have make good use of the new Mixel parts connectors.
May 28, 201410 yr That's awesome. Thanks for posting. I just got the Lego X-Men set, and after I built the Sentinel all I could think was ... PERFECT size & articulation for a brick built Sauron or a mini Treebeard... then I see this using the same joints as on the Sentinel - hahaha too funny
June 1, 201410 yr Lovely Treebeard, very reminiscent of the mini Metalbeard from 70810 Metalbeard's Sea Cow if you ask me. Excellent job Andeh!
