Andeh Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Seeing as it seems like the Lord of the Rings theme has ended, I decided that I would have to build my own Treebeard. I was never actually a fan of the "Ent" from the Tower of Orthanc set, so here's mine. https://www.flickr.com/photos/andyd6/14078574478/in/photostream/ What do you guys think? Quote
Mutant Orc Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 I really like that mini tree beard. Nice use of the mixels parts. I might have to steal/copy this design! Will you build more mini-ents and then a mini Isengard to go with them? You could make a whole mini diorama.... Quote
LewisGilbert Posted May 25, 2014 Posted May 25, 2014 Feel this is a great size! Got to agree that Lego's Ent doesn't look great! Nice job! Quote
Brickadiergerard Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Great job. I want to try and make an ent that's more the height of the ones in the books than the films, and your version is a very helpful guide to what can be achieved. Quote
Tuinman Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Nice one. I was also thinking about making a treebeard, using the new mixels parts. This is very helpful as a design. Quote
Kez Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Awesome! Nice use of the new mixels parts, the design is excellent, good job. Quote
Wardancer Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) Good treeman! I like the fiery eyes and the very beardlike beard. Maybe a bit more greenery around the top? There is also a whole thread on trees somewhere in the forum. Yours should be included. Also in my sig there is a tree demon link. Edited May 27, 2014 by Wardancer Quote
WhiteFang Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Very nicely done. I like how you have make good use of the new Mixel parts connectors. Quote
HawkLord Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Very well done! The beard looks really good for being so few parts. Quote
atreyu2112 Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 That's awesome. Thanks for posting. I just got the Lego X-Men set, and after I built the Sentinel all I could think was ... PERFECT size & articulation for a brick built Sauron or a mini Treebeard... then I see this using the same joints as on the Sentinel - hahaha too funny Quote
CapnRex101 Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Lovely Treebeard, very reminiscent of the mini Metalbeard from 70810 Metalbeard's Sea Cow if you ask me. Excellent job Andeh! Quote
