Ska 2D2 Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Hi! I am finding this web site very difficult to navigate! I have managed to post one picture but have since found it impossible to post another! No matter how much resizing I try it just won't have it! Have I missed something? I don't have any problems posting on Mocpages or flickr and would like to add eurobricks to the list! Any help welcome! Many thanks Quote
Peppermint_M Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 What seems to be the issue you are facing? Our FAQ should be able to help. Otherwise, ask away here or in the Help thread. Quote
Rick Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I have managed to post one picture but have since found it impossible to post another! You seem to have uploaded the file directly to Eurobricks. While every member used to get a little bit of space (usually good for one image) to directly upload files to Eurobricks, we have recently disabled this feature altogether. You have to upload your files to an image host, like flickr, and embed them on EB using BBcode. Tutorials on how to do this can be found by following the links in all staff members' signatures. Quote

Rick Posted June 17, 2014 Posted June 17, 2014 Is it possible to "change" the name of a hyperlink;ex: so instead of looking like http://www.eurobricks.com, it just says Eurobricks? It is. [url="http://www.eurobricks.com"]Eurobricks[/url] Or click highlight a word and click the icon that has chain links (with a "+" sign in green) on it. Quote

zweihander Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 When I try to post an image hosted on flickr, it says " You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community. " Is it because I am new? Or is it because I'm doing something wrong? Quote
Sir Brickalot Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 I find it cool I can still see this thread. ... I mean, complete newbie, test post. Quote

" Is it because I am new? Or is it because I'm doing something wrong? It sounds like you're selecting the wrong thing when you try to post your picture, could you post a link to what you're trying to post? It might give us a better idea of why this is happening. You should definitely be able to post pictures, that's what this thread is all about - just make sure the end of the image url is .jpeg and you should be ok, but if you can show what you're trying to post then we'll have a better idea of how to help. Eurobricks Emperor Bonaparte Posted June 18, 2014 Eurobricks Emperor Posted June 18, 2014 When I try to post an image hosted on flickr, it says " You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community. Turns out I was doing something wrong. I was trying to post the link to the flicker page, and expecting the forum software to extract the image from that page (like facebook status) because I couldn't find the direct link to the image. Now, I found it, and here is the proof: This sits on my desk at work :) P.S: I think that feature would be nice :D Quote
