StickFig Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Matthias hesitates for a second - with the Extraordinaire, he wouldn't have been accurate enough to leave the hostage untouched. With XX's cannon, though... the ranger attacks The Assassin. As he fumbles with the firing mechanism, Matthias wonders if The Hostage really is an arms dealer... and what the man might be able to provide the party if they manage to save him. > Matthias: XX Hand Cannon vs. The Assassin Quote
Chromeknight Posted July 3, 2014 Posted July 3, 2014 Miss Berthadhiell, perhaps you would be better removing the hostage from play? That would mean we could finish the assassin without distraction. I expect putting the hostage to sleep will make it too difficult for Ugly there to use him as a shield. Quote

StickFig Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 (edited) The Assassin is fighting from the back though, so any damage done is halved. Well booo. I thought that ranged weapons negated that all around. Oh well. Matthias the Carnival Crusader (nstickney) Health: 16/16 Matthias the Carnival Crusader (nstickney) Health: 13/16 I just caught this - not sure how Matthias lost 3 health in the first round, but he's *Blessed* in any case so he should be full health by now, with the adversary *Blinded* and *Sealed*. Matthias fires another round at The Assassin. As he loads between shots, he glances quizzically at Calmacacil and Fenral. "Bloodpaw? Metasimians? I've never heard of them." Firing again, the ranger thinks for just a moment and yells to The Hostage, "Do you have a name, arms dealer? Is there a good reason for us to involve ourselves like this?" > Matthias: XX Hand Cannon vs. The Assassin > Matthias: XX Hand Cannon vs. The Assassin Edited July 6, 2014 by nstickney Quote

The Assassin's luck continues to prevail despite being sealed and blinded. Saving the Hostage would give the party a better position to deal more damage, however, the safety of her party remains a priority. Purpearl turns her attention to the Assassin, and tries to seal him again. Chromeknight Posted July 6, 2014 Posted July 6, 2014 (edited) Nerwen replies to Matthias. Eubric used to have a selection of gangs. The Wolfgang muscled in and has killed off most of them. Two of the remaining ones are a group of metasimians, people like Byblos the Librarian, and the blood paws, werehounds mostly. The fact he supplies those that resist the tyranny of the wolf is reason enough to protect him. Turning to the assassin she says. You seem confused. Are you trying to suggest the gangs make money by arms dealing? Are they the customers of arms dealers or are they the sellers? Do not be so quick to dismiss my view. I was not always a knight-cleric and I have traded in weapons in my time. And not simply from some sweatshop forge in a backwoods valley but proper elven made swords and bows. As for telling you how to do your job, regardless of whether you cleaned up afterward, reflect on how simple your kill would have been if you were somewhere where we did not interfere. Shame you may not live to learn from your mistake. Nerwen - mourning star vs. assassin Edited July 6, 2014 by Chromeknight Quote
