I have yet to get this game and would like to. Was it as good as 1 & 2?? I really enjoyed those and now I see this one is only $30 at most places so I will be saving a good amount of money.

I enjoyed this game much more than LB1 and LB2, and I absolutely loved LB2. This one isn't as bat centric as the other two, however, despite the name. If that's not an issue, I'd definitely go for this one.

I've heard Lego Batman 3 isn't open world, unlike Lego Batman 2. Is it true? I heard something about each chapter being connected through a hub or something like that. I had a lot of fun in Lego Batman 2 exploring and fooling around in Gotham City, kinda similar to Lego Lord of Rings.

True it's similar but not the same. Each chapter is connected through a hub and you can choose where you want to go. There is still free roam where you can explore and fool around if that's fun to you, and in my opinion it's much better than Batman 2 DC Superheroes because there are MANY more different locations that you can explore than just Gotham City. When I played that game it was fun but got bored quickly.

There isn't even too too much to explore. The lantern worlds, the Hall of Justice, the Batcave, Watchtower, and Hall of Doom are all sorta empty, other than the small handfull of features that most of them share.

That was kind of the issue I had with Gotham, actually. It was big and labyrinthine and aside from flying, there really wasn't much to do. The bosses were all really easy to defeat and collecting the gold bricks was pretty repetitive. 95% of the time it also required using Batman, Robin, or Superman, which didn't help. Plus, by the time I finished the game, I could only navigate the island with Wayne Manor and the amusement mile. It was really easy to get lost on the other two.

Though I wouldn't mind if there was more to explore on the planets or Hall of Justice (it bothered me that Green Loontern and Kevin Smith together probably host 75% of the missions in the game, with Batgirl doing a lot too) at the very least they were more artistically diverse and collection wasn't as bad. (Except on Oa, I don't like Oa at all....)

That sounds promising! I too loved LB2! I don't need it to be all about the Bats but as long as the boards are fun and there is humor, count me in!

Oa is pretty awful. The Lantern planets made me sorta sick, though, with the otherwise unseen circular shape. Those were easy to get lost on, and a pain to navigate. Not to mention, for them to be entire planets, and the homes of vast armies, they were very small with very few people. The moon was strange, and mainly just seemed to be there so they had a place to put the Lantern teleporters (I think they missed an excellent opportunity by not having Dr. Manhattan sitting thoughtfully in a crater. I know he did on that on Mars, but we could look past that for the sake of some Watchmen love, right?). As a Kevin Smith fan, I really enjoyed it when I got to do any of his missions. Green Loontern...meh. It would've been fine by me if they gave a few of GL's missions to someone else that didn't get any. I think Beast Boy should've gotten one or two, since I'm positive that Greg Cipes would've been thrilled to do them and BB's so much fun.

I like the game though like a lot of the newer games it glitches a lot- for example the space attack on the Watchtower freezes quite often. I actually really enjoyed Batman 1, as it had villain levels and more of the fun boss fights, which don't seem to appear as much.

So I just noticed that the Batman Beyond DLC was finally added to the US PSN store, but apparently you have to buy it. Wasn't it said to be free for Playstation 3 & 4? Sorry if I missed something, but I'd appreciate any clarification on this.

I think that is the Heroiness and Villainessess DLC

Thanks Cy, but I'm talking about the Batman Beyond Pack (or Batman of the Future as it is known in Europe) which according to early announcements like this one was supposed to be free for PlayStation. :look: Anyone know more about this?

It's possible that they may have changed it. :sceptic: Is it free with the DLC Season Pass?

Recent reports say that it is not part of the Season Pass. Maybe the early announcements were wrong or maybe the promotion was exclusive to one country? :sceptic:

That's what I assumed, not an international promotion. I kinda figured that when the packaging didn't have the sticker on front that said it was included. And no I got the pass and it's really just the 6 level packs I think. I paid the 1.99 for BB

I bought the season pass so at I'd get all of the DLCs free... :sceptic: I was told that with the season pass you get ALL the DLCs when they come out.

Yeah, I guess only the games with the sticker on it got it for free (which was in the UK I believe). Oh well, $2 are nothing after paying over $50 for the game.

I don't know who told you that, but as far as I know the season pass has always been said to include the 75th anniversary, TDK, and MoS packs plus 3 additional packs, one of which is said to be the Arrow Pack. Sorry.

Is Oa the only place you can use vehicles? I can't find any other spot!
