June 11, 201410 yr At the start, you said you had to build double-thick walls to hide the toothy floor edges. The nice thing about double thick walls, is you can make the interior a different color. Very few houses are the same color inside and out.
June 11, 201410 yr Author Yes, but making different colors between inside and outside is not so easy and if you check accurately you can see that only front and rear wall ha 2-bricks thickness, while lateral walls has just the base, while the upper part is 1-brick (for the living room) while in case of the kitchen is just 1-brick thick (the toothed floor is covered by the furnitures). Eventually I had to reduce rooms again and I don't like little rooms.
June 11, 201410 yr That roof! You've got some fantastic designs in that building but the roof is definitely the best bit.
June 11, 201410 yr I'm very impressed with the result Kevin8! You have used many interesting techniques with some unusual part combinations. That's the beauty of Lego. it's hard to imagine that your creation took 6000 pieces! What is your next project?
June 11, 201410 yr Great start and great finishing! I love the roof with the snot part that reminds me of the Fabuland roofs :) My favourite room is the kid's room, you have some nice ideas that I could use someday :) You mentioned you'll re-do the rooms someday. What's wrong with them?
June 12, 201410 yr Author Thanks. I'm very impressed with the result Kevin8! You have used many interesting techniques with some unusual part combinations. That's the beauty of Lego. it's hard to imagine that your creation took 6000 pieces! What is your next project? I don't know actually. Thank you! Great start and great finishing! I love the roof with the snot part that reminds me of the Fabuland roofs :) My favourite room is the kid's room, you have some nice ideas that I could use someday :) You mentioned you'll re-do the rooms someday. What's wrong with them? No... maybe I made some mistake while writing, but I'm not going to re-do the rooms. The only thing I would like to do is the garden...
July 8, 201410 yr This is fantastic! Just looking through older posts and this really caught my eye. Great job!
July 9, 201410 yr Author Thank you both. I'm developing the last part. I'm going to add a garden in the rear. This is simply going into my personal diorama so the garden will fit in it.
