Sariel Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I seem to recall that a single topic for all reviews worked well for us the last time, so let's try it again. Allow me to begin with 42028 Bulldozer: Quote
skriblez Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Thank you very much :) Looks like a pretty nice set Quote
Freekysch Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Thank you for the review, it is a nice model indeed. Any idea what the price will be ? Quote
D3K Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Did you build the B-model yet? Looks original indeed, could almost resemble a mine clearing vehicle Quote
Sariel Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 I won't be building the B-model, sorry, I'm too short on time :( Quote
merman Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Does it use the 'old' wormgears? Can you post pics of the inventory please? Quote
andythenorth Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) Is the B-Model a trencher? http://commons.wikim...el_Trencher.jpg Russian trencher crossing river... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7k7YTvgsk3M Edited May 27, 2014 by andythenorth Quote
Sariel Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 Yes, it uses regular worm gears. No, I won't be posting the inventory, sorry, but that would come too close to breaching copyrights for the BI booklets. Quote
rm8 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) Thank you for review! Paul, do you plan to share review of 42029 set in close future? Edited May 27, 2014 by rm8 Quote
Rishab N Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 (edited) Nice Review! After watching, this set has gotten more appealing Edited May 27, 2014 by Rishab N Quote
Blakbird Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I'm glad I'm not the only one preparing for the zombie apocalypse. Quote
D3K Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Apparently everyone are these days, including you government Quote
Sariel Posted May 27, 2014 Author Posted May 27, 2014 I don't really know if I'll be getting the 42029. I can only confirm 42030, but can't show that one sooner than June 15th. It's a bit chaotic, but big kudos to Jan Beyer for making it happen at all. Quote
Tommy Styrvoky Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 looks like a ok model with quite a few features, also has some nice parts like diff and tracks. Quote
krtwood Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 I imagine I'm not the only one who would get the bulldozer set but convert it to being a larger scale D9 rather than a mini D11. Pretty much just changing the cab. Maybe add some mini-la's for blade tilt? I bet someone has instructions on doing just that before I ever have a chance to buy it. Quote
AOW Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Yes, it uses regular worm gears. No, I won't be posting the inventory, sorry, but that would come too close to breaching copyrights for the BI booklets. Paweł, sorry to be naive but what is the difference between regular worm gear and "other" ? Quote
PhyBuilder Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 (edited) Paweł, sorry to be naive but what is the difference between regular worm gear and "other" ? The new part (better: additional part, because it fulfills another purpose) is 3M instead of 2, cannot move freely back and forth anymore, and looks like this: Edited May 28, 2014 by PhyBuilder Quote
AOW Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 The new part (better: additional part, because it fulfills another purpose) is 3M instead of 2, cannot move freely back and forth anymore, and looks like this: Thanks PhyBuilder - actually I was thinking on this part as the one that I refer to as "other" but I was under impression ( I do not kno why) there are some difference between black and gray worm gears :)Thanks again Regards Quote
Sariel Posted May 28, 2014 Author Posted May 28, 2014 Nope, they're not color-coded. And there are even yellow ones :) Quote
Lakop Posted May 28, 2014 Posted May 28, 2014 Nice review. What a nice set that is. The B model looks good. Look forward to other reviews. H Quote
davidmull Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Sariel when will you be putting up the 42030 review? Quote
