BrickyBoy Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 (edited) Hello all! It's been a very long time since I've posted here. My previous and first moc, a Police station, has been broken down. In the end, I wasn't so happy with it. I will build a new one in the future, though. After collecting new sets and bricks, I had enough parts to create a new building: a modular Bank! It is based on the Lego set 3661, and used techniques from other official modulars, my own inspiration and also from other builders. So, here it is Front of the building, with ATM outside. That old man just needed some cash. But I think he's already lost his money! Back of the building. With the stairs leading to the appartment 1st floor: the bank. Securityman. He has probably the most boring job in Lego City. Now he's filling the time by reading a strange newspaper. The big safe! Now let's go to the 1st floor... Living room and kitchen. Detail from the kitchen. . Gary is watchin' tv after a long day of work at the office. Is it a surfing game? Or an old episode of Paradiso Baywatch? Now let's have a look at the second floor! Bedroom & bathroom. Entrance to the balcony and a small stairs leading to the roof terrace. I think Gary has forgotten to flush the toilet Finally a view of the roof. Here Gary can relax during warm spring days. In summer it will probably be too hot! Well, that's it folks! Here and there, I still have to add some bricks, but they're not available for the moment. I'm also going to make a brick-build $-sign on the roof. Hopefully you've enjoyed it, sorry for the sometimes bad photography and simplistic English. Next projects are a modular museum and a modification of the Palace Cinema. Both are in different stages now of development. Comments & criticism welcome! Edited May 29, 2014 by BrickyBoy Quote
Sammael Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Very nice! You've managed to pack a huge amount of details. The safe looks a bit big for the bank of this size, wonder what they're hiding inside? ;) Quote
eurotrash Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 That's a good looking facade and a very well executed interior you've built BrickyBoy! Thanks for sharing it with us! Quote
wondermonkey Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Nice job with the floor tiling! Is the lawn chair on the roof from a set or a MOC? I might have to borrow it. Quote
Spider-Man Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Really nice build! I love all the details you were able to include in the apartment, and the big safe was a nice touch too Quote
emilstorm Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Nice work, that balcony is awesome, and the stairs to the roof is a great idea. Quote
Xyver Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 I love the brickwork around the ATM, it looks great. And I really like your interior work as well. I would like to see what this looks like between other modular buildings. Quote
lightningtiger Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 AWESOME 'BB', great work on a small scale and yet packing in the detail ! The yellow in the toilet is funny.....yes, if it's yellow it's mellow, if it's brown flush it down ! Brick On 'BB' ! Quote

Moebius118 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Flawless modular! Amazing how much you can fit in in such a small space. Quote
talos Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Very nice! I like the ladder to the roof idea. The security guard must of been to the Haunted House attic to get that newspaper! Haha! Quote
BrickyBoy Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 (edited) Thanks for all the kind comments so far! It really encourages me to keep on building! And I will be more active and participating on this forum in the future! Nice job with the floor tiling! Is the lawn chair on the roof from a set or a MOC? I might have to borrow it. The chair comes from the Simpsons House, which I already have broken down for using the parts. I love the brickwork around the ATM, it looks great. And I really like your interior work as well. I would like to see what this looks like between other modular buildings. Well, during the weekend I will put my creation between 2 official modulars and add the picture here! Kristel Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 This is gorgeous! I love the textures and colour combination on the facade. I also like how there's lots of details on the back of the building. The interior is nicely done too, especially the Friends-inspired first floor. Well done! Quote
SeanJFry Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 This is really nice. You've put a lot of detail in such a small space. The chair comes from the Simpsons House, which I already have broken down for using the parts. I noticed that they are from the Simpsons house. Nice! Quote
