Garmadon Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 My entry for the GNAR, Merchant Marine category, the IceStorm: After arriving at the western coast of Mitgardia I took leave of my escort as I had decided to go to the Mystic Isles by ship, due to all the drow activity. I accordingly bought a passage on a small trader's cog and we set off. For a while we journeyed prosperously, but as we entered the Avalonian seas the wind died down and the water began to darken and tremble. "Drow!" I'd like to recieve UoP credit for: Trade and Law: Shipping by Sea/Water C&C are welcome Quote
Gunman Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Although its hard to see details because I am online from my mobile, your brickbuilt sail and hull is great! Quote
Thomas of Tortuga Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Neat ship! I like the palisade bricks on the side! Quote
Infernum Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Nice! I'm really digging the hull construction and the railing! Quote
Gabe Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Very nice profile on your ship, Garmadon! I find it interesting that you've chosen to place the ship with all that space behind her on the base - it gives the sense that she is gently drifting along in almost becalmed waters. (Looks a little spooky actually, especially in the low light) I look forward to seeing your improved pictures! Quote
Hammerhand Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 Nice work here! Looks like a nice little cog! Quote
soccerkid6 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Excellent ship, the log bricks in the hull give a neat texture and I like the rudder and railing designs a lot Quote
de Gothia Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Looking promising! Hard to see the details though! I want more lighter pics please!! Quote
MassEditor Posted June 4, 2014 Posted June 4, 2014 (edited) So first you are named Hersir of the Cavalry and now you wish to rule the high seas too, eh Garmadon? This looks very nice for a ship of her size, definitely like the brick built hull and the rudder mechanism! Please, more pics! I find it interesting that you've chosen to place the ship with all that space behind her on the base - it gives the sense that she is gently drifting along in almost becalmed waters. (Looks a little spooky actually, especially in the low light) You are so right about this. I didn't notice that effect until I read this, and it definitely adds to the atmosphere. Good eye!
