Posted June 5, 201410 yr I'm not really into craigslist, but I did need a window air conditioner. While I was at it, I decided to see if there were any good deals on used Lego and stumbled on an interesting one. I noticed a lot of old grey and castle specific walls. The pieces were all loose and the bin looked like it was probably leaking parts for years. I rolled the dice and bought them for $50.00. I am pleased with the result and had a lot of fun in the process. In the end I was able to assemble Knights Castle (6073), a 1980s fire truck, a technic build pack (8035), Two board games (which I am not interested in and will get rid of) and partial Cosmic Comet (6825). After making sure I had enough pieces for the castle, I washed them all. I let them soak in a bowl with a drop of detergent. Then I spun them in a salad spinner and used a compresser to blow water from the cavities. They turned out great! This set must not have been played with very much. The Castle design is a little bit underwhelming, but surprisingly stout. My first castle was King's Mountain Fortress, and it seems like Knights Castle had more of the little gaps filled with bricks. That was a pleasant surpirise. I love the design of the Black Falcon Knights shields. The brick built jail door was a first for me, it's really cool. I'm only missing one shield, it even came with the extra plumes for the knights helmets! My favorite set is the fire truck. It's not much to look at, but it just has that look that takes me back. It looks very "Lego" to me.
