miles teg Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I don't usualy like 'playsets' so much, I prefer ships and vehicles for display, but I like this set...very tidy and some nice touches. And the minifigures are stunning, but £65 here in the uk !!?? If it was £50-£55 then I'd be more interested : ( Quote
Retro Posted June 11, 2014 Posted June 11, 2014 This is a nice review of a lovely set , which I have to admit I have bought for myself (ahem) for Father's day. I can't wait to have all three Both pile into the landspeeder for a joy-ride. I can understand people hankering after Walrusman et al, but if they put 15 aliens in every set they would all cost 200 Euro and they're almost unaffordable as it is. Plus, if you got all the figures you ever wanted in one go, there would be nothing to look forward to/pine away after! ...should be Bith...not Both..not Bothans either...or Bothams... Quote
AndyRiley8 Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Excellent review Lobot, thanks. Makes me want this set even more now. Great Pics too Quote
Godtshep Posted June 13, 2014 Posted June 13, 2014 Thanks for the review! Please may you add some pics of the cantina closed up? Quote
ablake90 Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 (edited) I love this set I got it yesterday(an early Father's Day present) I love all the play features it has it reminds me of the episode 1 tattooine micro machine sets. The Dewback is excellent such an improvement on the original the extra studs on the back allow for much better customs. I'm undecided on Greedo I would have rathered his vest was printed a little better the pockets run over the edge of the torso and I think if it looked like Han's it would be spot on. It might look like a little set but you do get 8 minifigures and the Dewback and the parts selection is nice for any Moc'er I might also add that the build is quite longer than you might think. Defiantly worth picking up an extra set on discount to fill out the band and up the imperial presence just need to bricklink the new Chewie, r2 and threepio. Edited June 14, 2014 by ablake90 Quote
Ki-Adi-Mundi Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Thank you for this very good review and the additional pictures! It just is a great set! Containing a structure, a vehicle, an animal and an iconic collection of hard-to-get minifigs! Thinking of the torches/lamps, moisture evaporator, animal food try and the elements of the bar, there also are many small details i love so much about the more 'civilian' sets TLG does create. Quote
