VKTechnic Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Signs of life have appeared at the VKTechnic desk... Quote
Paul B Technic Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 That looks like a good start to the project, Quote
AOW Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I noticed that 90% of Moc with Fake Engine are made in combination of V8 .... ok looks nice, sounds powerful but do all MOCs have to have the V8 ? I am currently thinking of creating MOD of 8865 - using parts till 1994 - engine most likely will be R5 with supercharger (not turbo) Quote
Zerobricks Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 No suspension? You can easily add at at this scale... Quote
Lakop Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I would expect suspension on a model like this. What car will it be? H Quote

I am currently thinking of creating MOD of 8865 - using parts till 1994 - engine most likely will be R5 with supercharger (not turbo) The model I'm basing this car on actually uses a V8 engine, was originally gonna make a V10 car. MOCs don't have to be V8. ;) No suspension? You can easily add at at this scale... I would expect suspension on a model like this. What car will it be? H The reason I'm not using suspension is the bodywork: it's going to be very, very low. Quote
legomuppet9 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 Couldn't you put in some springs like Piterx has designed in their fake ones place? http://p-lego.blogspot.co.uk/2013/07/useful-things-part-i.html Looking good so far Quote
unimog123 Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 I like the way this project is starting, should handle well on smooth surfaces without suspension- no body roll. Quote
VKTechnic Posted June 7, 2014 Author Posted June 7, 2014 Added a gearbox with a realistic (albeit long) shift lever. Also trying out some wheel covers, not sure if I quite like them. Oh, any guesses as to what car this is? Hint: It's German. Quote
Rishab N Posted June 7, 2014 Posted June 7, 2014 (edited) Mercedes SLS? Edited June 7, 2014 by Rishab N Quote
VKTechnic Posted June 7, 2014 Author Posted June 7, 2014 Oh wow! It can only be the E92 then? It's actually the DTM version of the car: Quote
VKTechnic Posted June 9, 2014 Author Posted June 9, 2014 Modeled the gearbox in LDD! File will be available here soon. In the meantime, I'm struggling to find a good seat design that's mostly studless. Any suggestions? (P.S. Anyone notice the new logo?) Quote
timslegos Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Progress looks good, still waiting for the mustang though . tim Quote
Meatman Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 Looks like this is shaping up to be a really great car! Quote
