Wonderful work again Gideon, I'm loving your Kaliphlin style. Excellent use of some rare colors too!

I wouldn't complain about your photography, that long exposure shot turned out perfect!

Awesome lighthouse, I love the smoke. Well done with the water too; that can be a difficult technique to actually make the round plates look like water, but you pulled it off expertly.

Wow, oh wow. Amazing.

It seems that Elijah, is quite the traveler  Great work on your style of stonework and the blue works amazingly well in the rocks. And again... amazing photo's!

Awesome build! The height is impressive, you are still the master of the tan castle.

Very polished, well done! I love how every layer goes in one half stud.

Thanks!

The problem with the photography I was referring to is the chromatic noise my tiny Olympus Four Thirds sensor produce, especially when headed up during longer exposures. Mostly visible on the black border and fortunately not too much on the model or the backdrop.

Wow Gideon, this is fantastic! The first thing that caught my eye was the water, I didn't even notice it was loose plate technique at first! Great job placing it! The light up feature is also amazing, great work!

Stupendous job, Gideon, the lighthouse is truly awesome :oh::grin:

Excellent work with the rocks and water, the smoke is a great detail as well and the pic with the light is just splendid :moar:

I  all the half stud offsets in the lighthouse, especially how you staggered the butrresses from 3 studs to 2.

The whole lighthouse looks amazing and your landscape sets it off well  The fact it can actually light up makes it even better :classic:

Aaargh! Hate to watch EB on my cell phone. I always think I ´ve commented the mocs I´ve seen in the mobile. But obviously not... =/

Well mate, you just keep bringing out the A game every single time! I absolutley love this one!

Great to see my son having a good time in Barqa!

This is a gorgeous build, which was especially evident when I saw it in person at Brickworld. The colors work great together, especially the blue slopes in the rock base. All the little details in the walls of the lighthouse are superb, and you have done a great job here with the water technique. My favorite parts are the doors and the little quay at the base. Wonderful entry!

Thanks! The light was very weak and really hard to photograph, but thanks to this build I've gotten some tips on how to reduce the noise in my camera so next time it might turn out better :classic:

Of course I had to include the young de Gothia, I will try to make him do some kind of cameo in all my Barqa builds as long as he is there.

Thanks SK! Staggering the buttresses was an emergency action since I couldn't keep them the same width, but I'm glad you liked it!

Thanks! I'm glad you like the lbg slopes, because I had a feeling they turned out a bit too blue when I did the color correction of the pictures... To bad I didn't bring the base to BW, but considering that we managed to make each piece of luggage exactly 23 kg it would have cost me at least $25 to bring it...or even worse meant that I could have brought fewer new bricks back home

Damn, now that is one beautiful tower. I'm not sure how to put it in words because I'm just so amazed by how it looks. And I do love the fact you went beyond the call of duty and added, I'm assuming an LED light, for the fire effect at the top. That's the cherry on the cake for me, good job Gideon!
