Chilis Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I really love your work but could never do the same thing with my PC or the other modulars.... Something inside me says that I´m not allowed to MOD a modular other than add more floors in the same original style or add a 2.nd, 3rd or 4th building of the same next to each other. Looking very good with the Grand Emporium. But thats me ;) Quote
Yzalirk Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I like how you made the MOC as if it's like a WIP. Quote
The Player Nº1 Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 Very nice job, modding the Palace Cinema. Liked the various carpets. Quote
KringlesBricks Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I really like the creativity on the last construction stages on the roof and siding. Quote
Cian Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 You'd be surprised how accurate to life this can be - many suburban 1930s-1950s cinemas in Dublin are in fact carpet showrooms now - generally if they're not a bingo hall or a furniture shop, they're a Des Kelly Carpets! Quote
eurotrash Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 You'd be surprised how accurate to life this can be - many suburban 1930s-1950s cinemas in Dublin are in fact carpet showrooms now - generally if they're not a bingo hall or a furniture shop, they're a Des Kelly Carpets! I was born and raised in the North of England (Go Carlisle United!) and although we had nothing architecturally equivalent to the faux-oriental Palace there's plenty of old Playhouses and Cinemas that have been morphed into Carpet warehouses. The only thing I missed was the endless, heavily discounted sales (as Jonwil pointed out earlier). Quote
VintageLegoEra Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I eeally love this MOC..wanna build it!! Quote
BrickyBoy Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 This is an amazing MOD! Very inspiring! Really like your style... Can we see your whole town layout? Quote

beeman101 Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Very well done. What made you think of a carpet shop though ??? Love them btw... Also, the scaffoldings are a revelation ....hope you don't mind if i replicate :-) Quote
CityBuilder Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Palace cinema becoming a carpet store? I never would have thought of that. Great build, escpecially the little scenes you make with them. Quote
Lego Otaku Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 Now if only LEGO would release carpet piece that looks like carpet and made of cloth. They did have many cloth elements before including: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?pg=1&catString=48&catType=P&v=1 http://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?pg=1&catString=167&catType=P&v=1 and http://www.bricklink.com/catalogList.asp?pg=1&catString=102&catType=P&v=1 Quote
