MaxSupercars Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Interesting Idea but as you said the problem is low torque that it can transfer... hmm... Max... Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 6, 2015 Author Posted November 6, 2015 Yeah SO FAR that is... Anyway I just made a 5 gear version and even if it can carry only low torque, it should still be useful for supercars with no motors. Quote
MaxSupercars Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 (edited) Yeah you're right... for shelf model builders... so they will be happy... ;) Thanx... Max... Edited November 6, 2015 by MaxSupercars Quote
Lipko Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Yeah you're right... for shelf model builders... so they will be happy... ;) Thanx... Max... I wouldn't call something a shelf model, just because it's not remote controlled. Quote
MaxSupercars Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 (edited) I wouldn't call something a shelf model, just because it's not remote controlled. And how do you call it? Either it is a shelf model or model optimized for RC where do you need no gearbox or for ex. 2 speed gearbox. Max... Edited November 7, 2015 by MaxSupercars Quote
Zerobricks Posted November 10, 2015 Author Posted November 10, 2015 Here's the finished Arocs 10x10 truck... I was hoping I might have luck at the 2045 Mercedes challenge and would be able to build this baby, but so far there's only the digital version... Anyway, the fake motor is driven by the rear most axle and steering is done via servo. I also built a smaller companion SUV, which has the most compact driven and steered independent suspension I ever made: And if thats not enough, it has a driven V4 piston engine in the back (driven by rear motor), openable doors and body. Oh and steering wheel is also connected to the steering servo! The drive system is very simple, a couple of M motors driving 4 gears, giving it a total gear ratio of 1:2...Its a fast little bugger I hope I can afford to build at least the small model, it uses lots of 5L thin connectors with crossholes and medium blue panels which I dont own... Imanol BB Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 The arocs looks very fantastic, i would love to see it built in real life, maybe when you get all the pieces, the details and the functions are very nice, and that suv too, i really like it, nice work ZBLJ. Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 As I told you already, really love both of these builds!!! The Merc is a engineering wonder and the SUV is just lovely!!! Small, but as it all, as we would expect from you...haha... Quote
Zerobricks Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 Since I made the Fox 8x8x8 people have been asking me for a small version. I think I'm getting there Quote
vliet Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 It looks like it has 10 motors, one M motor per wheel and 2 M motors for steering. I have built the fox and it had a XL motor per wheel, so the smaller version is quite similar Quote

Axles are swinging, and the motors move with the axles, here's the underside: As you can see I added battery boxes. Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Clever as always...this is going to be a beauty too I am sure of that... Thanks buddy for your input and driving us to "madness"...haha... Quote
MaxSupercars Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Niceee... I'm looking for final version. ;) Max Quote
Zerobricks Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 (edited) I managed to bring to life the small offroader which I decided to simply call....blue Here are some pictures, more will be posted in the model's own upcoming topic. Flexing those suspensions: Rear can be opened up in order to turn the model on and off, or to repalce the batteries. Notice the working green V4 engine. Oh and the steering wheel also turns with the wheels. The rear suspension has more travel than the front, which also has to steer. I used a soft and a hard spring to get the hardness I required: I will also upload the updated LDD file so you guys can check it out. Speaking of the LDD file, this model was one of the hardest to build from digital into real life due to its rather tight and complex internal mechanics which allows for one of the most compact driven and steered independent suspensions along with a fake drive system and a working steering wheel. The model is almost a miniature motorized supercar, all its missing is a gearbox Edited December 29, 2015 by Zblj Quote
Fcirivello Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 cool stuff. I'm new to technic. What computer program are you using to create some of your images? Is it a virtual building program? Quote
Imanol BB Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 The program is LEGO Digital Designer, you can download it in the officila site: http://ldd.lego.com/es-ar/ , also, that offroader seems really good, nice work again ZBLJ. Quote
2LegoOrNot2Lego... Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Great "small" build...you did a great job again!!! Having it all in there seems almost impossible...but not for you...haha... Quote
syclone Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Simply lovely! Looks very fresh because of that rare blue Quote
Zerobricks Posted December 30, 2015 Author Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) Thanks guys! Here's the promised LDD link and few more pictures: The underside picture from LDD. Here you can see the 1x1 round bricks next to the 24 tooth bewel gears which keep the axle from slipping out. And one more photograph from the rear: Click here to download the LDD file Notice: The motors and the front hubs are missing in the file. Also I used a rechargable battery box, though I think the AAA one should work just as fine. Edited December 30, 2015 by Zblj Quote
Chade Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 That's a really impressive compact RC model! The blue panels really 'pop' in the photos too. Love it. Quote
Zerobricks Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 (edited) Here's an review of the year 2015, update on yours trully, some sneak peaks and patreon addition. Like 2LegoOrNot2Lego mentioned in the comments, would anyone be interested in a very large package of LDD files including not before seen models and concepts for a price of 10-20€?
