Nothing escapes the trained lego eye. A quick sort through can reveal enough odd and rare pieces to determine what sets were in there. I cheated a bit with my 20 kilo lot because there were 3 folders of instructions, but a lot of the time a couple of minutes in the bricklink parts listing can determine what sets you should be able to build from someones discarded collection.

Yes, yes you do, but time has ways of mending that, and lots and lots of booty too. eventually, (when i'm around 80 i'd say) my collection just might equal some of yours. hahaha. :-D

Yes, that's the idea. If I buy all the Pirate LEGO in the world I can control where it goes. I will have a complete monopoly over the world's supply of Pirate LEGO and if someone doesn't want to buy from me then they can pester The LEGO Group to re-release existing sets or introduce a new line. Oh wait, plenty of people are already doing that...

ahhhh just agreed to buy some lego tonight, off tomarrow to pick it up.... ive got no clue whats in the set but the laid said there was about 1,050 pieces and 4 pirate men, a bird and a monkey..... but no really large pieces..... so im guessing maybe a small outpost or something but who knows - ill post tomarrow when i figure out what i just bought..hahaha.

it was only $25 but that seems to be the lowest price on bricklink for the pirate stuff so it cant be all that bad..hahaha
