Nimdian Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 (edited) Hi there, This is my entry's progress. I decided to make a small scale machine with some details (hopefully). It has 153 parts so far. I am not happy with some parts and looks so its open to improvements :) Features a differantial, 2 piston fake engine, that thing we always see behind a tractor (?) :), rotating handle bars. Here is one example of a two wheel tractor that I am inspired from: And here are some lame pictures of the progress :) : That is all for now I guess. Nim Edited June 14, 2014 by Nimdian Quote
N-4K0 Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 This looks awesome good idea to build a model of such a machine. Quote
dhc6twinotter Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Awesome tiller! The colors look great together. Quote
Captainowie Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I'm not entirely sure I'd want to be walking behind that thing - it'd put my feet too close to some nasty-looking whirling blades! Nice rendering in LEGO though. Owen. Quote
Nimdian Posted June 15, 2014 Author Posted June 15, 2014 Thanks for the comments guys. I'm not entirely sure I'd want to be walking behind that thing - it'd put my feet too close to some nasty-looking whirling blades! Just for that some models have rotating handle bars so you can drive the thing by the engine end :) Quote
Captainowie Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 Thanks for the comments guys. Just for that some models have rotating handle bars so you can drive the thing by the engine end :) Oh. Right. I had wondered what "rotating handle bars" were! Quote
Erik Leppen Posted June 15, 2014 Posted June 15, 2014 I like it. Red, gray, blue is a great combination. Could use a bit more blue though - maybe you could use blue for the cover of the blades? The functionality is also decent, it has engine plus differential, and the rolling blades. Is it possible to uncouple the blades from the wheels? DOes the real machine have that (I don't know). Really the only minus I could think of is that kids might not know what this is, so it might not sell well as a set, but that's not really about the model itself, merely about the "spirit" of the competition.
