Gunman Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Welcome back dude. I really like the ground texturing/details you put around the ground. Texturing of the walls is great too! Quote
Thomas of Tortuga Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Really neat castle! I have to mention those trees. They look normal at first glance, but the spindly trunks and the angled leaves add that essential Nocturnus flair. Quote
I Scream Clone Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 Thanks to all you GoH legends, you have all stuck around and given this world it's grounding and really shaped an amazing experience for newcomers and casual observers! I would say welcome back, but you were gone before I joined. However, I have admired your builds in your abscence and it is great to see more coming from you. Great job "remaking" this set. It is gorgeous. Welcome aboard, always good to see more up and coming castle builders embracing the GoH world. Really neat castle! I have to mention those trees. They look normal at first glance, but the spindly trunks and the angled leaves add that essential Nocturnus flair. Thanks, originally I planned on using some of Eccl's trees, but speaking to a good mate of mine, Tazmaniac, got me thinking about doing my own design. Quote
Gideon Posted June 25, 2014 Posted June 25, 2014 Great to see you building here again! The castle is excellent with a lot of nice details, and the trees look very good! I like how the castle's overall looks are recognizable, while it's still very much is an original creation. Quote
Maxim I Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 So many things to like in this scene!! The area around the castle looks so realistic! The castle itself is epic as well :) Quote
Naijel Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 So nice. Was great to see this in person the other week at the Sydney Brick Show. Quote
Captain Dee Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 Perhaps I shouldn't be commenting on a bumped topic, but I remember seeing this new as a lurker and thinking it looked refreshing even though the castle was built to look somewhat weathered. The trees are unique and very well done and the big doors are nice but the base really gets my attention. Despite being flat it just looks great due to the depth, colors and details. I realize ISC may not read this but there are several good techniques to learn from. Quote
