Devastator Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Hello people. I am new member of this wonderful society. Let me introduce myself. I am from Russia. Oh, don't be afraid. I am not one of those drunk bears in a cap with earlaps and balalaika. :) Actually there are no such creatures here. I live in Saint-Petersburg (remember, it's the capital of Russian culture). I am 19 years old and I have been engaged in Lego since I was 6. That time the first two sets - 6834 and 6835 - were presented to me for birthday. It is very difficult to afford buying Lego here because it is awfully overpriced. So my collection is not very big. However I have enough parts to build quite detailed models of small or medium size. I am interested mostly in Lego System series and I have very small amount of Technic parts such as different gears. My favourite series are Star Wars, Exo Force and City. I love Exo-Force because of good price/piece quantity ratio. Star Wars is one of my favourite sci-fiction films so I love Lego models based on it. The new series of City sets attracts me because of great design and some useful parts. I'm not a fan of simple collecting of sets so all of my sets are disassembled and used for construction of my own creations. Well I think this short story will acquaint you with my Lego history and you will accept me in your community. At last I'll show you my Brickshelf gallery. I started to place pictures of MOCs there since I had got digital camera (approximately 3 years ago). Here is the link: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=Devastator Also I have recently made a stop-motion video clip using Lego. Here it is: I hope you enjoy it. And the last note. I am sorry for my "defective" English. There may be a number of different mistakes. So I ask all of you to accept my apologies (and please do not act as vader did in his time). *vader* :-) Quote
simonwillems Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 (edited) Welcome to the forum Devastator! You seem to have quite an extended Brickshelf folder containing really beatutiful MOC's, I love the little house with the tentacles and the Jedi Defense scene, great. People like yourself are gladly accepted in this community. Your English expressing skills are not in the least defective: immaculate I must say *y* Enjoy your time here. :-) Edited May 31, 2007 by simonwillems Quote

UniqueBuilder Posted May 31, 2007 Posted May 31, 2007 Hello and welcome! I've seen your MOCs/vignettes before, beautyful! ;-) Devastate on! >:-) Quote
Devastator Posted May 31, 2007 Author Posted May 31, 2007 I really like your Endor mini setting. Nice one *y* Did you notice the tail stabilizer on that shuttle shifted back? I noticed that only after posting images of that scene. Till now I really wonder why I placed the tail in such a strange way. By the way I have added some new pictures to the City folder. There are MOCs that were used in my vedeo-clip. Quote
