Posted June 23, 201410 yr Hi,I am planning to build BrickCityDepot's modular consulate, which is an alternative model for the Town Hall: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/318079 It has a parking lot, and I obviously need to build a fitting car for this purpose; I guess a black BMW or Mercedes or similar :). I have browsed through all available Town/City sets but haven't seen anything appropriate. Can anyone recommend such a car from an official set or a MOC (with available instructions + parts list)? It must be in modular / minifig scale.
June 23, 201410 yr I would have thought the car from the Palace Cinema modular would make for a good ambassadorial car, although you may need to mod a roof onto it.

I still think that's one of the most disappointing vehicles that TLG has produced - too blocky, cartoony Something like this should be perfect: Yep! Or something like this Range Rover with tinted windows
June 23, 201410 yr If you can find one for a decent price on Ebay this limo from 2010 might do the job. Although the car is only 4 studs wide so may need modding to be 6 wide for that truly luxurious feel. Alternatively the bricks for this mod, should be easily available from Bricklink or your other lego sets... http://brickset.com/sets/3222-1/Helicopter-and-Limousine
June 24, 201410 yr Hola! The Range Rover-esque vehicle from 7635 - 4WD with Horse Trailer could be repurposed by removing the red details and using trans-black windows. EvMan
June 24, 201410 yr Author Thanks for the suggestions! As arator pointed out,the car cannot be too big. I think I'll go with EvMan's suggestion and bricklink and mod the car from 7635.
June 24, 201410 yr If you go with the land rover/range rover, make sure (for the sake of realism) that you put a black or green 2 x 2 plate under it to represent the typical fluid leaks. You might also want a tow truck standing by around the corner. Edited June 24, 201410 yr by Off the wall

June 25, 201410 yr If you lengthen the land rover / range rover a bit and make it black with black windows, you get a Chevy Suburban :)
