I don't think he wants to build a Vette

It's a GM product   .

HAHA, I don't have a problem with GM, only Holden! ehehe. Nar all good.

Tho I did convince my friends not to buy a Holden and get a SRT 8 instead. They did!

A vette would be cool but most have been done before quite well. :)

Decisions decisions decisions....

What a fantasic model. It's gorgeous.

As for your next project. If you fancy (what I IMVHO would consider) a challenge, may I humbly suggest a PF model of this, the brilliant little Bond Bug.

I had one in my youth and loved it. It was a great little car with bags of character.

I've seen a few small, brick built 'Bugs but haven't come across a Technic build. If anyone has built or knows of one I'd be interested to see it.

Thanks Grum64!

Glad I stumbled across this again  Beauty of a car that, I hope it sounds right though  Did you end up making instructions for it?

Thank you! I have modeled it, unfortunately I have sold the car, so can't really test the instructions.

But now there are more orange sets, this may be a good time to finish them if a few people are interested. :sweet:

Hi Doc_Brown,
I'm building this car, some troubles I have meet, please help:

1.Page  15: where to put 2x DBL 6587, they're not shown on instruction.
2. Page 20: Does Lego have technic pin 2780 in blue? Can I use the black one with the same function?
3. Gear box: at Gear 3 or 4, I don't know exactly, I can go forward only, go backward isn't possible, it gets stuck inside. Other gear is fine for going forward and backward.
If you have an email I will send a video for easier understanding my problem.

Thank you so much.

Just recently built one of these I bought from a seller on EBAY Australia which is in Red and Black. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of the build as the instructions are so well detailed even a novice builder would have no problem with it. The only change I made however was the output shaft from the gearbox i trimmed down a 7L rod to 6.5L giving the drivetrain strength whilst easing pressure on the uni joints. Thanks to Steve (Speedbuild) and more so Dave for creating it.
